"titties"

Yesterday I overheard some chap in the supermarket talking about a woman's titties and that word makes my skin crawl!

Titty is icky, but not as bad as clitty. Eurgh.

mintymellons · 09/05/2012 14:24

Yanbu. Gross.

ripsishere · 09/05/2012 14:25

My most loathed words have all been used on this thread.
Titty/ies is probably in first place - I worked on a male surgical ward. Three old gits all loved comparing the titties on the lady's in the Sun.
Moist - ewww.
Panties - yuck. Porn star sounding IMO.

Dropdeadfred · 09/05/2012 14:25

I love the word delicatessen Grin but I hate lots of other words too... Lascivious is not a favourite of mine either

ItsAPublicForumWhine · 09/05/2012 14:25

I once got told off on mumsnet for referring to chicken breasts as chicken boobs.

Seriously, someone got REALLY offended by it. Like I was some kind of weird chicken perv oddball.

ripsishere · 09/05/2012 14:26

Although, I do use the phrases 'off my/her/your tits' to describe inebriation and worked my tits off, if I"ve been busy.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 09/05/2012 14:30

The word titties makes me cringe. But I think I may have a problem with tit-related words generally ? I also hate 'breasts' (embarrassing, po-faced) and 'boobs' (leering and silly/childish at the same time).

Having said that, I say 'Off my tits' all the time, and I love 'baps', 'bongoes' and 'norks'.

Don't mind 'moist' but I hate 'matinee', 'batch', 'portion' and 'meal'.

GoPoldark · 09/05/2012 14:32

Next time, OP:

'Titties? TITTIES? Haha, I bet you call your penis your Tommy Tiddler, don't you? Go on, admit it!!'

Should put off any average bloke from using the word ever again.

LadyWord · 09/05/2012 14:33

Oh LadyClarice! I also loathe "portion" - thought it was just me!

Can't put my finger on what's so awful about it but it makes me want to curl up in a ball. Ugh.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 09/05/2012 14:34

It makes me squirm. It's so embarrassing. I dread having to say it.

thebody · 09/05/2012 14:37

Havnt heard titties since 1979

Hate the phrase ' flop apart' nurse once said that to m re legs and a smear. Eeew. Made me feeling a big fat floppy flop

PatronSaintOfDucks · 09/05/2012 15:02

LadyClarice, I am with you on "meal".

"Flop apart"????? Just vile.

Megatron · 09/05/2012 15:04

I have just heaved at 'panties' it's a completely unacceptable word.

Haven't heard 'titties' since Benny Hill was on telly.

ILikeTrains · 09/05/2012 15:07

YANBU, sounds horrible.

tittytittyhanghang · 09/05/2012 15:08

am I not welcome here then? :)

maddening · 09/05/2012 20:02
