What is your dd's favourite costume? I am sure you can find a Hollywood Disney movie that features a princess in a pink dress. We always find a way... Grin

Halbanoo · 09/05/2012 16:19

Wow. Yeah, Hollywood isn't even a geographically separate city. It's a flippin' neighbourhood in Los Angeles.

They really didn't think this one through, did they?

VivaLeBeaver · 09/05/2012 16:22

Lindsey Lohan?

myimaginarychildBernard · 09/05/2012 16:24

I'm not sure what the thought process behind it was.

I'm assuming, as they've said a "movie star" they mean an actual actor rather than a film character.

It would be easier if they'd said a character from a favourite film though.

FFS, I would be really Hmm that they think Hollywood is a city and that they think this is a suitable theme for such young kids who won't even care or know much about film stars!

BellaOfTheBalls · 09/05/2012 16:31

The temptation to send her dressed as something from the most inappropriate film I could think of would be too great for me.

cocolepew · 09/05/2012 16:45

West Hollywood is a city in LA, but 'Hollywood' as such isn't. The is a city of Hollywood in Florida, so send her as a retiree.

LouMacca · 09/05/2012 17:27

lmoa @ VivaLeBeaver

FGS whose idea was this?? How on earth do you come up with Hollywood Movie Stars for reception children (or any year for that matter!!)

VivaLeBeaver · 09/05/2012 17:39

I would seriously be so tempted to find a pair of hot pants, boob tube, spray tan, loads of make up and thigh high boots/stilettos. Grin

LineRunner · 09/05/2012 18:49

Do Snakes on a Plane!!! I love Snakes on a Plane. Utter madness.

Salmotrutta · 09/05/2012 19:23

How about the Orang-Utan from Everywhich Way But Loose? - he was a proper star.

Or The Hollywood sign? - it's always starring in the films.

Or one of the velociraptor minor celebs from Jurassic Park?

LineRunner · 09/05/2012 19:26

The gong!

Salmotrutta · 09/05/2012 19:29

Grin - yes the gong!
Or the man who bashes it! - 'cept he just wears a loincloth doesn't he?

PoppadumPreach · 09/05/2012 19:30

free willy?

Salmotrutta · 09/05/2012 19:31

Or what about the statue of liberty woman (is she 20th Century Fox or Paramount?)

The White House has had a few parts too ...

bruffin · 09/05/2012 19:31

Jesse from Toy Story

LineRunner · 09/05/2012 19:33

I think the gong man had harem pants on. Or am I making this up?

LineRunner · 09/05/2012 19:34

I was wary of clicking onto your free willy link, Poppa, but that is very sweet.

FootprintsInTheSnow · 09/05/2012 19:37

You're over thinking!

Sunglasses.

Job done.

FootprintsInTheSnow · 09/05/2012 19:39

But really random request! How many 'movies' (as distinct from cartoons and tv shows) would the average 4 y.o. Have seen anyhow??

Salmotrutta · 09/05/2012 19:42

Just for Line - can't really tell if he has MC Hammer pants or not!! Grin

Nanny0gg · 09/05/2012 19:44

Lassie?

MarySA · 09/05/2012 20:13

It's a bit of a mad idea for a reception class. Dorothy from Wizard of Oz. Or other character.

LineRunner · 10/05/2012 19:19

Salmo, they look quite tight from this angle.
