Why didn't he use the washing machine?
I wash cat bowls in the dishwasher. Shock at bum funnel. And there was the toddler group that washed their potties in the dishwasher.

cabbagesoup · 08/05/2012 12:59

OfCourseImAlwaysRight · 09/05/2012 22:11

my dh washed the dogs bowl in the dishwasher he stopped that when he went to bed one night and it was on his pillow
i went mad, its not something i would ever do. my IL let their dog sleep in their bed. foul (according to me)

Bumdrop · 09/05/2012 22:14

Dog bowl on dishwasher is fine by me, gets sterilised ?

PinkChampagneandStrawberries · 09/05/2012 22:14

I know someone who washes their ahem "adult" toys in the dish washer Grin

usualsuspect · 09/05/2012 22:17

Why wouldn't you wash the dogs bowl in the dishwasher?

Slippers are a bit odd though.

Goolash · 09/05/2012 22:20

What's wrong with dishcloths? If you allow them to come into contact with your work surfaces everyday why not? I put them in every time we do a load, then hang them out to dry.

We also do the cat bowls, theyre done daily and all the remains are scraped out before hand. Can't be any worse than the chopping boards we use for raw meat?

AgentProvocateur · 09/05/2012 22:25

I always put my flip flops in the dishwasher. I thought everyone did Blush

OfCourseImAlwaysRight · 09/05/2012 22:54

my dog bowls dont come into contact with my surfaces everyday though! i wouldnt want something that a dog has eaten from to be washed alongside plates ect that me n my kids will be eating from..
also dishwashers clean and dont sterilise

bogeyface · 09/05/2012 22:58

Can I draw you attention to this that I posted last year?

OK so IWBU about making a complaint, but I read this again the other day and I STILL think it is icky, but according to most MNers, it was fine!

GinPalace · 09/05/2012 23:03

Ewwwww the only thing that should go near dishwashing equipment is stuff that is used from the neck UP!!!

Yuckityyuck.

I recently discovered a friends other half blows his nose on their tea-towels. Shock he can't see the issue. I am dreading their next dinner invitation - I will feel sick if I accept, but how can I dodge it forever??

think shoes in the dishwasher are in the same category of repulsive ideas.

GinPalace · 09/05/2012 23:03

Bogeyface YWNBU!!! :)

bogeyface · 09/05/2012 23:05

OMG the tea towels as snot rags thing is waaaay worse than fanjo gloves in the DW!

I did honestly just retch then. i would never eat at their house again, I just wouldnt be able to and I would tell them why too!

bogeyface · 09/05/2012 23:05

Thanks Gin! Although as you can see, you are in the minority to think that!
