To think a frys cream does not equal a large bag of m&ms.

DH went across to the shop to get us a treat for sat night in. Living the high life indeed.

We always get a treat of equal 'treat value' IYKWIM. One of us would not get a chocolate fudge cake whilst the other got a milkyway, unless that had, of course, been previously agreed (could not see it happening in a month of sundays). Anyway, I said I wanted a frys choc cream. He comes back with the requested bar and a huge bag of peanut m&ms for himself. I hate peanuts.

AIBU to be a little miffed that he has this giant bag to scoff all night and my little chocolate bar can't last long? He can't see my point. I should add this DH goes beserk if I manage to eek out my treats to last longer than him.

Vickityboo REALLY? Why has this escaped me in my forty two years of loving Frys, why?

fryscream · 05/05/2012 21:42

oh itwas that was a great idea, but too late now. I will remember that for next time. Probably end up choking on them knowing my luck! That'll learn me for being so childish....

On Wikipedia should that not work!!

diddl · 05/05/2012 21:44

Yes-isn´t the point of him getting a big bag that you share that when you have finished your FCC?

Otherwise he´s just mean & greedyGrin

Annunziata · 05/05/2012 21:46

Thank you! I have to say I REALLY want one now.

Sorry for derailing your thread, OP!

whackamole · 05/05/2012 21:52

When he goes to the bog, eat all the chocolate from round his peanuts, and leave them in the bag.

That'll learn 'im.

Havingaminutespeace · 05/05/2012 21:55

Might not be a bloke thing, but it's definitely a case of toddler tantrums. Grin

HecateTrivia · 06/05/2012 07:50

He sighs and asks have you got some left? And you call that beserk?

That is SOOOOO disappointing.

I feel let down and insist you make up something nice and juicy that involves him stripping naked and running down the street, frothing at the mouth and yelling FRY'S GOT SOME OF HER MARS BAR LEFT!

IdontknowwhyIcare · 06/05/2012 07:58

OP consider yourself lucky. DH. Still hasn't been forgiven for his transgression. He popped out for a pint of milk, asked me if I wanted anything, I say oh something NICE, surprise me.

And so ........... The surprise was broccoli. hmm so he has huge kudos from his friends for being so "brave" stupid and still gets no end of grief from me, after more than 2 years.

So I deffo agree he was being vv unreasonable.

HecateTrivia · 06/05/2012 08:01

Grin broccoli. Oh, that's funny.

My husband once asked me to "surprise him". I had asked him if he wanted anything from the shop. He said yes. I said what do you want? He smiled and said surprise me. I asked him did he have any idea what sort of thing, he was just grinning and saying surprise me.

What he meant was get me alcohol.

Silly grinning pissed me off, so I got him nothing.

That surprised him!

I love Frys peppermint cream in the green wrapper but have never tried the original one in the blue wrapper - what flavour is the cream filling in it?

KatieScarlett2833 · 06/05/2012 09:06

mint Blue

seoladair · 06/05/2012 12:18

I adore Fry's Cream (the blue one, not the peppermint). I don't know anyone else who eats it. It's the only cheap chocolate I like. I particularly like it if it's been in the freezer for about an hour.

BluePinkBluePink · 06/05/2012 23:47

But if the blue wrapper one is mint flavoured too what is the difference between the blue wrapper and the green wrapper ones?

fryscream · 07/05/2012 09:28

I don't think the blue wrapper one is officially sold as mint. The green one is peppermint. The blue one is just 'dark' choc (which actually reminds me very slightly of green and blacks maya gold) with fondant centre. The fondant has a very very slight mint tang (IMO) but think it is just marked as plain fondant centre. Oh god I want another one now.

He needs to learn to eat more slowly. There would be no need for this passive aggressive act.

Make sure you have a good talk today and maybe write the RULES on a slip of paper and pop them on the fridge. He has no excuse and god forbid if he repeats this offence I think you have no choice but to leave him Sad
