To think I'm going mad??!?!

Any other stay at home mums feel like just screaming ahhhhhhhh half the time. I swear I'm actually going insane. The house is a mess, the kids run rings around me, the pile of washing in the kitchen is bigger than everest and my bloody puppy is having its first period and is bleeding everywhere!!!!
And my DH works 6 days a week and is the least understanding person to have graced the earth!!!
Give me some sanity guys. That doesn't involve 'getting out of the house' coz that's far far more stressful.

Op, I understand you wanted a moan but that won't help you forever. No-one has been mean to you or given bad advice. Just some practical things that do help. I have 4 ds' including twins which nearly did drive me mad. I've always worked part time to give me a bit of 'me' time back. That's what helped for me which I'd why I suggested it.
Things do get better but they grow up too fast which is why people have given you good suggestions as to how to enjoy this time more come rain or shine. Getting out and meeting people is a real help.
You said getting it is s nightmare but I have found the more I've gone out the better they've become as they've got used to it. Now I can take them out on the train or to the shops without a stress.
You'll get there. If your husband is away alot- mine works long hours, you have to try & fill up your time, another way of keeping ssneSmile

Sleepysnail being a sahm does not mean you have money. Many ppl on full or partial benefits are sahm. Nursery is very expensive and many ppl can only get minimum wage jobs.

Krumbum, I didn't say it meant you had money, I said I can't afford to stay at home, that is; if I gave up my job we would not be able to afford the rent, etc. I have to go back to work. It upsets me so much that I have to pay someone else to look after my baby, or at least I will have to in a couple of months. I would love to be in the OP's position, i.e being able to stay at home. That is what I'm envious of. That does not mean I'm saying she has lots of money, does it? Neither of us know what her financial situation is and I don't want to know. It's not relevant.

My mum used to cut a tail hole in her old pants and make the poor dog wear them to stop her bleeding everywhere. Cheap solution to your doggy's period?

sorry, terrible apostrophe usage.
