YANBU - As long as (in my case) it's a fairly strong table and fairly easy to get down off!

MizK · 01/05/2012 15:14

Never too old!
As long as there are no short skirt/pant flashing horrors whilst said shimmying is taking place - whether you are 17 or 107 no one wants to see your undercheeks :)

LadyBeagleEyes · 01/05/2012 15:32

Yeah, sort of like Gooset says.
If I could get my creaky body onto the table and down again, why not.
Sadly, me back would go.

Hullygully · 01/05/2012 15:34

What about in a young persons nightclub with raving and such?

Why not?

Everyone is too old to dance on a table. Put it away!

Birdsgottafly · 01/05/2012 15:41

Lets face it it depends on what you look like.

If your on the lines of J Lo, fine, not so good if your more on the lines of Cheryl Fergison (heather trott EE), sorry but it's true.

FoofyShmooffer · 01/05/2012 15:41

Providing you can't see what they had for breakfast, YANBU

(it was you)

Hullygully · 01/05/2012 15:43

It WAS NOT

How would you see wot they had for brekky?

OP posts:
Thumbwitch · 01/05/2012 15:45

So long as you can get up there unaided, get down again unaided, and are unlikely to break a hip through osteoporosis should you slip on the beer, I can't see the problem myself. Oh, and at that age you should be wearing knickers. Definitely.

FoofyShmooffer · 01/05/2012 15:46

Ah

Erm, it sort of means as lOng as they're well covered below and you don't get an eyeful of arse and beyond.

YANBU. If anything, it's a bit young.

FoofyShmooffer · 01/05/2012 15:49

Oh God it sounds awful.

Bloody northern euphemisms. Everyone's going to think I'm all common. Blush

MissFaversham · 01/05/2012 15:50

Absoutely not, did this in leather trousers on my 40th. And planning a comeback this year on my 50th Grin

Hullygully · 01/05/2012 15:50

just never heard it

OP posts:
Flimflammery · 01/05/2012 15:50

You are NEVER too old to dance, on a table, in a nightclub, wherever.
HTH

Hullygully · 01/05/2012 15:51

My friend will be most reassured, I'm sure. She tells me she was entirely covered by clothing, but just concerned it was an unsuitable pursuit for the advanced in years.

OP posts:
RatDesPaquerettes · 01/05/2012 15:51

Hully, you have already admitted to being a lap dancer on another thread. Dancing on a table would be one of your tamest moments. Grin

Hullygully · 01/05/2012 15:51

tsk

lap, not table

completely different

tut

RatDesPaquerettes · 01/05/2012 15:52

You are a woman with standards!! Grin

TheHouseOnTheCorner · 01/05/2012 15:53

It's an awful thing to see unless the dancer is very small...age notwithstanding. I saw a 20 something girl, built like a strong pony in platform boots clomping away on a table at a friends wedding and I was Shock it was SO inelegant.

Hullygully · 01/05/2012 15:53
