I've never heard a cuckoo, I'll swap you a cuckoo from the annoying little show off that tweets from the roof behind me every morning at 4.30. Bastard.

We have some sort of pigeon that sits on the little roof below our bedroom window every morning singing. It's a repetitive "Hoohoo... HOO" which I found lovely when we first moved here.

Not so much fun on a Sunday morning though.

Sorry, I don't see how likening immigrants to cuckoos who cleverly drop their eggs into other birds nests (Britain) for them to spend resources on raising them until adulthood when they fly off is particularly funny.
