Right ladies you can help me settle this going to my niece's 6th birthday party at my sisters house.

but i have rollers in because i am also going to a party with oh later to night should i take them out is a bit Hmm to not take them out but at the same time its pissing down and i don't want the curls to drop for later

asked oh and she said he don't care as long as sister is not serving non alcoholic beer again Confused which you can imagine is very helpful
son 13 just thinks it will be a hoot for me to go in rollers so no help from him.

I've done it before, so I say go for it!

LisaD1 · 28/04/2012 12:51

Can you not wear a head scarf so the curls don't get wet and put the rollers back in for a bit before this evening?

I am far too vain to leave the house in rollers but if you're comfortable to do so then go for it, will give the birthday girl something to laugh about :-)

WorraLiberty · 28/04/2012 12:52

I'd have to see what you looked like with them in before I could possibly judge Grin

kittyandthefontanelles · 28/04/2012 12:52

Are you in Liverpool? It's a common thing there. Do it! I do it all the time. Have been shopping, doctors, pub. What's the problem?

supernannyisace · 28/04/2012 12:53

I have an image of Hilda Ogden in my mind now... Grin
hilda

Mrbojangles1 · 28/04/2012 12:55

they are flexi rods so look like medusa Grin

Depends who else is going, if it's just family, I probably would. If there are other people going, I'd probably take them out and cover the curls in hairspray and a headscarf.

HecateTrivia · 28/04/2012 14:24

I can understand why you want to, but you're going to look a berk Grin

Is your sister the easily offended type? Not likely to have the huff because you've got the bendie things in so clearly not dressed up for the party/think it's important/whatever?

IAmBooyhoo · 28/04/2012 14:30

was going to ask if you were in liverpool but kitty got there first Grin

iscream · 28/04/2012 15:02

I wouldn't.

Put a pinny on and tell them you thought was fancy dress. I agree that you are indeed going to look a berk but uf it's just family then who cares.

slowestwildebeast · 28/04/2012 15:14

An a-level exam! That must have been funny. I'd have probably failed my exam through laughing at you.

My hair holds no curl so I'd have to take tongs.

Wish my hair was better.

hippoCritt · 28/04/2012 15:58

Please go with curlers and upload a photo

JingleMum · 28/04/2012 16:44

yeah, it's the norm in liverpool.

of course you should wear them! it's more imporatant to look good at the party tonight than it is to take out your rollers incase a few people raise their eyebrows.

I think it might look like your nieces party isn't worth the effort which is a bit rude BUT you know your family best if they won't care then go ahead.

iscream · 28/04/2012 16:55

I agree softly.

PullUpAPew · 28/04/2012 16:57

If it is a family only do then do it. If likely to be full of others then I think you risk showing up your other relatives and being forever known as 'that woman who went to so-and-so's party with her rollers in'.

VeronicaSpeedwell · 28/04/2012 16:57

I too have only ever witnessed this in Liverpool Grin.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 28/04/2012 17:50

do you have a hat or scarf arrangement to cover it? if yes then go for it. or if its just family... who cares, just do it.

McHappyPants2012 · 28/04/2012 19:32

I would rather my children auntie just came to the party, wouldn't care what's in her hair

RustyBear · 28/04/2012 19:35

Apparently the latest thing round here is to go clubbing in pyjamas and rollers
