DSIL thinks I am.

The way I see it the 3 small Chaotics have no idea what I mean and the big Chaotic likes to have an "injoke" with mom.

So that's good?

AIBU or am I corrupting my preciouses?

Well if you are BU then there is no hope for my DS....DH does it all the time.

Tell your SIL to get a sense of humour!

FoofFighter · 27/04/2012 10:51

What was it?

ProcrastinateWildly · 27/04/2012 10:51

That's part of the fun of being an adult, surely?

ChaosTrulyReigns · 27/04/2012 10:53

Actually, not sure if double entendre actually is correct.

Confused

Just grown up language that they are too young to click iyswim?

DSiL isn't mother to your children so it doesn't matter what she thinks. It doesn't matter what I think either, but YANBU all the same. :)

ChaosTrulyReigns · 27/04/2012 10:55

Oh sorry - posted before replies.

We have a basket to shove stuff in to be sorted occasionally regularly.

I call it the toss pot.

What does she think is going to happen? That your dc are suddenly going to develop an unhealthy obsession with Carry On films? [girn]

YA definitely NBU!

Anyway, children's films are full of jokes for the parents who are forced to sit through them....does she recommend they don't watch any of these either...?

DawnOfTheDee · 27/04/2012 10:57

Grin not [girn]!

BettySwollocksandaCrustyRack · 27/04/2012 10:58

Actually, DH Still does it and sometimes DS says "dad, I know what you are talking about"....Blush

Squirrelz · 27/04/2012 11:00

"Oooohhh MATRON!!!!!" Grin

GrahamTribe · 27/04/2012 11:01

What's the big deal with tosspot? Does your SiL know what it actually means?

thisisyesterday · 27/04/2012 11:02

i think it's fine as long as you are prepared for them to repeat it at school! lol

thisisyesterday · 27/04/2012 11:02

sorry, hadn't seen where you said what it was

i think it's fine!

GrahamTribe · 27/04/2012 11:02

Sorry, posted too soon. If SiL thinks it means something to do with wanking, tell her that she's just got a dirty mind. Grin

Birdsgottafly · 27/04/2012 11:38

If the example that you give, is what she is complaining about, then she needs help.

redrubyshoes · 27/04/2012 11:40

A woman walks into a bar and asks the barman for a large double entrendre ....................so he gave her one.

tethersend · 27/04/2012 11:43

I don't see any problem with dropping one in front of the DCs.

MsVestibule · 27/04/2012 11:46

Smile Ruby!!!

We use double entendres all the time, keeps me amused.

chunkythighs · 27/04/2012 13:12

I was having a conversation with a carpenter, discussing shelving/storage. Now I know he was referring to the depth of the shelves and the weight distribution but when he said 'If I spread the legs a bit wider I could easily get more than 9 inches in'.........I couldn't look him in the eye Grin.

Mrsjay · 27/04/2012 13:16

MINE ARE OLD ENOUGH TO COTTON ON TO THEM SO NO MORE OOOOERRR MRS FOR US SIGH THEY AMUSE ME AND CHILDREN HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE ON ABOUT , WHATEVER GETS YOU THROUGH THE DAY [GRIN]

UnChartered · 27/04/2012 13:19

redrubyshoes · 27/04/2012 13:21

I had a carpenter round the other day and I started flirting with him. He soon made a bolt for the door.

BOOM. BOOM.

BerryMenlove · 27/04/2012 13:21

I suppose it could be embarrassing if your DC go and talk about the Toss Pot outside of home. Grin

nickelhasababy · 27/04/2012 13:22

no problem that i can see.

MardyBra · 27/04/2012 13:26

Sometimes if I was going out, it would be "Dad In Charge" aka DIC.

Until one of the DC told Granny.
