to think my wife is using cruel and unusual punishment...

to think my wife is using cruel and unusual punishment to drive me to get off my arse and do something today?

Little House on the Prairie with the threat of Touched by an Angel later.

I do have a case for throwing Ranty out and having her arrested for Human Rights' abuses, don't I?

If she really wanted to torture you, there's the entire series of Danielle Steele 'Blockbuster Best Selling Book to Mediocre, Dull, Samey-Samey starring some old Has Beans off the Telly Films'.

JenaiMarrHePlaysGuitar · 21/04/2012 18:32

Is Don't Tell the Bride on at all today?

Bambino81 · 21/04/2012 18:33

You think this is bad OP, I made DH watch The Sound Of Music the other day.

I'm convinced he slipped into a coma 20mins in Grin

KisMittz · 21/04/2012 18:33

I also have a domestic image of her playing with a Dildo in the back ground Grin

Call her bluff MNHubbie, snuggle up to her and tell her how hot LHotP make you and you want to role play as JohnBoy!

LydiaWickham · 21/04/2012 18:40

the original Italian Job is currently on C4 if you are interested in getting your own back, extra points for attempting the lines "pretty car" and "you're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off" with appropriate bad accents.

lazymum99 · 21/04/2012 18:40

Get a grip KisMittz JohnBoy is from The Waltons!

KisMittz · 21/04/2012 18:42

GrinBlush Oh! who falls down the well and gets rescued by a dog then?

JenaiMarrHePlaysGuitar · 21/04/2012 19:10

bambino I knew I'd love dp forever one New Years Day when he suffered The Sound of Music, on account of my monstrous hangover.

MNHubbie · 21/04/2012 21:01

Wrong series there Kis and your other one is Lassie, or the littlest hobo...

The older shows that are even worth watching are Columbo, Dr Quinn, Diagnosis Murder, Perry Mason, Murder She Wrote, Taxi,, land of the Giants, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy or Doctor who. I am sure I could add a few more. But your Dw's choices would bore me into into a Disney-like slumber

Don't agree on them all but add in Petrochelli, MAS*H and several others to be honest (DW doesn't like Columbo so I've never had a chance to get into it, Murder She Wrote is something DW would watch and I'd grumble through unless there was a good guest star).

We're on the Voice now so I'm giving my false hatred of it thang... whilst secretly watching/listening.

Jenai - that's gotta be true love. He's a keeper!

Ohyoubadbadkitten · 21/04/2012 21:08

Tv is ace at the moment. Have been sharing the wonders of the original Star Trek with dd this week and just finished watching the crystal maze ( but sadly not the one with Richard o'brian)

Does anyone know of any old dr who being shown at the moment?

MNHubbie · 21/04/2012 21:27

Dr Who has not been shown (to my knowledge other than the odd special) since NuWho came along which is a crying shame (I love the new one but was looking forward to sitting down to watch old Who with the kids and show them how it is a continuation).

We did the whole of Crystal Maze with the kids a while back and tried to show TOS but middle son (Aspergers) found it too scary bizarrely (Dr Who is fine... SG1 is fine, Atlantis is fine, Universe is fine, Farscape was fine...). We think it was the bold bright colours and very clear cinematography contrasted with the very clear music (BE SCARED NOW... IT IS GETTING EXCITING...NOW etc).

Done a show at a time for DS1 currently doing TNG on DVD from the start. He is mad as hell that Stargate Universe, Farscape and Atlantis were left as they were... we are both even more mad at Sky for showing SG1 from the start then going back to the beginning at the end of series 9 rather than showing series 10 and the TV movies (I watched them when they came out so I'm OK but all Sky will say is that they have no plans to show them any time soon). When he is old enough it will be BSG and then he can get mad as hell that Caprica got cancelled early too... eventually we'll break his heart with Firefly, Flash Forward, V and so on.

Dr Who from ye olde days periodically on Gold (Virgin channel 126)

SG1 rocks the socks. hubby and I are huge fans. In-fucking-DEED!

As far as Universe goes? I actually thought that it went way too slow and could have been a LOT darker. I was gutted that Atlantis didn't have an end really. They were going to do a film but MGM shut down and the rest is history.

i thought that Farscape ended really well actually.

My favourite of them all is Babylon 5.

MNHubbie · 21/04/2012 21:45

We've yet to do Babylon 5.

Farscape did end well but too soon. We check Gold on Sky and never see Who ... damn... and it isn't ever listed on the Sky Never Miss

a little present not all the episodes listed are available but have had some success.

MNHubbie · 21/04/2012 21:52

Kitten that is amazing. I could kiss you

A lady in our coffee group was on The crystal maze many years ago

AutumnSummers · 21/04/2012 22:05

B5 is amazingly unique and has a great set of characters. It's wonderfully written. Andreas Katsulas (Who plays the one armed man in The Fugitive) and Peeter Jurassik play G'Kar and Londo, who are beilliant. The storylines are out of this world. There a whole bunch of movies that go along with it it too.

ChrisPeacock I always lament the fact that I never got my chance to crack the Crystal Maze. With Richard. Not Ed. I disliked him intensely but, to be fair, it was probably out of loyalty to Richard. I absolutely loved him!

Ohyoubadbadkitten · 21/04/2012 22:15

:)

Tranquilidade · 21/04/2012 22:21

I love Touched by an Angel Blush. Record it every day and have a TbaA-catch up-fest every so often, DH usually hides.

Watched the Northern Irish teenagers one and the one where Kirk Douglas rediscovered his jewish faith today!

MNHubbie · 21/04/2012 22:26

The few Bab 5 episodes I've seen are great especially G'Kar.

I'll add "Quincy" into the mix.

Police Forsensics Pathologist /Detective.
And he knows more about new on the market medicines than any of the doctors who are currantly treating live people.

MNHubbie · 21/04/2012 23:38

Damn I read Dr Quinn above as Quincy.
