So the headline on ahem 'The Sun' is 'JESSIE GAY'

(disclaimer - mother works in newsagents, not a paper I would read)

AIBU to think 'it's 2012, who the hell cares?' by having such a massive headline it makes it seem like its some massive secret thing, like it's a huge shocking thing!

I just think its not a big deal... Or at least it shouldn't be sensationalist headline material. People are allowed to be gay ffs. (I don't know if it's true having not read the article but really... What does it matter?! I'll still buy her music because sexual preference does

The story is that she's supposedly been told to say that she's bi rather than gay, the Sun have gone for the shock headline, no surprise it's a piece of shit.

Tbh I'm far more interested in how her is hair is so shiny and why she wears those god awful leggings. That's the real scoop.

Oh yeah the leggings. I?m not a huge fan of her dress sense. If Liza Minnelli and Timmy Mallet made sweet love and had a baby, that baby would grow up to be Jessie J.

Of course it is no story that she is gay. If there is any story it's surely about the way her record label manipulated her sexuality to get her ahead. The first single had a soft launch with a very spicy video and got the attention of all the media, if not the general pubic, and the whispers "She's a lesbian you know".

Which set everything up very nicely for the second single, the very sweet/poppy PRICE TAG - which swooped, seemingly from out of no where and became a huge hit. I was shocked when I saw/heard Price Tag as it seems like a totally different artist.

I think that the label probably did both exploit her sexuality and then clamp it down as part of their marketing plan. And actually I think it is about the money JJ!

DD loves Price Tag. As for the Sun, well it's a total non-story.

It's because it's seen as a bit sexy by men to b a lesbian. I know most poor blokes honestly see it as a potential threesome as 2 ( and of course gorgeous looking) lesbians ask him to join in. Actually that could just be my dh?

Not me, over the years I've struggled to get heterosexual women into bed (one at a time) I know my limits!
