Don't ask me why, she just has, fast asleep. She looks quite comfortable, so I didn't want to wake her. What would you do?

I used to do the same when i had to get up for my paper round in the morning. Never did me any harm Grin

lolajane2009 · 17/04/2012 23:01

i wouldnt. i have done that occassionally and i am 30.

Burderer · 17/04/2012 23:02

She'll probably wake up during the night and get changed herself, let her sleep :)

Anypointinseeingdoc · 17/04/2012 23:03

My DD has started doing this. She is primary school age. I don't let her do it every night but she seems to view it as a great treat. YANBU to be unconcerned.

LineRunner · 17/04/2012 23:03

I was chatting to my DD (16) in the kitchen earlier. She'd spent all evening doing various school stuff. Suddenly she just went completely knackered. I think she would have fallen asleep at the table if I'd let her. I steered her upstairs and I hope she made it into bed!

blapbird · 17/04/2012 23:04

I do this sometimes but mainly when I'm depressed, not suggesting your dd is depressed but for me it's a sign I need to slow down and just chill a bit

PoppyWearer · 17/04/2012 23:05

At least she's home and safe?

TheSinglePringle · 17/04/2012 23:07

I did this the other night. There was a lot of wine involved and I remember crawling up the stairs Grin

squeakytoy · 17/04/2012 23:10

I woke up in bed, fully clothed, still with my boots on, on many occasions! Grin

mockingjay · 17/04/2012 23:12

A man I used to work with told me he did this to save time in the mornings. Questionable Grin

YANBU to let her sleep

tamitots · 17/04/2012 23:15

I have often fallen asleep with my clothes on I will go lay down to read, get cold, pull quilt over me and thats it.... it's morning.

She must be comfy or would have woken up.

fallenangle · 17/04/2012 23:16

If my, slightly younger DD is anything to go by she is proably not dressed much differently in after school clothes than she would be in PJs. Leave hr to it.

Popoozle · 17/04/2012 23:19

My 14 year old DS does that with regularlity. He just "can't be bothered" to get changed apparently Smile.

gingerfrizz · 17/04/2012 23:21

fallenangle - she's not in after schhol clothes, still in uniform! I hope she doesn't strangle herself..........!

Anniegetyourgun · 17/04/2012 23:23

Mm, I'd take her tie off then, if you can do it without disturbing her too much.

festi · 17/04/2012 23:26

I once woke up with nothing but my boots on, the strange thing is I was wearing tights when passed out fell asleep.

crazynanna · 17/04/2012 23:27

Just take her shoes off xx she'll get pins and needles

festi · 17/04/2012 23:27

you realise now you have said that will need to take her tie off as no one will be able to sleep now without thinking about your dd asleep with tie on

gingerfrizz · 17/04/2012 23:29

I don't think I can, she'll be fine won't she?

OP posts:
festi · 17/04/2012 23:30

of course you can just undo it anpull it out slowly from under her, if she wakes up, she will just go back to sleep

Northernlurker · 17/04/2012 23:30

Oh wake her up and help her take things off then tuck her in properly. She may be 15 but it's beastly waking up in your clothes, cold, at 3am.

fallenangle · 17/04/2012 23:31

I often go to bed with boots on, but that's a very different thing Wink

festi · 17/04/2012 23:32

hence the name hey?

startail · 17/04/2012 23:32

My 14 climbs into bed to read and falls asleep in all manner of random states of dress, undress, and pj tops or bottoms and day clothes bottoms and tops. I'm not going to worry.

TheSinglePringle · 17/04/2012 23:32

Think I will be going to bed fully dressed tonight!
