...to let him watch South Park?

South Park is great, full of great political and social humour, yes they swear, and there is sex, violence and all kinds of adult themes (let's not forget that in South Park world satan and Sadam are gay lovers) but if your son is able to follow it then it will do him no harm. eastenders writing is not quite to the same standard, it is aimed at entertaining and raising issues on a level that will be understandable to the masses, if your son comes from a family that bears no resemblance to eastenders world he will not suddenly become a character from the show, if he does watch it just point out the utter ridiculousness of the characters behaviour and how simple improved communication would have stopped most of the story lines in their tracks in the real world. If you are raising your son with the values you would like him to live with he won't be corrupted by either show. In life we become the average of the people we spend most of our time with, unless he spends more time watching these shows than with real people he will only learn that the world is big and diverse, not become a reflection of art.

I also watched South Park when I was about 14. My dad even bought me cuddly toys of the characters! I let my 3 year old watch Futurama the other day. That's not bad is it?!😮
