Well, paraphrased. A bit.

I said this on another thread yesterday, but when I was little I had a fascination with snails, and collected a lovely load of them, kept them in an old fish tank suitably decorated and festooned with shrubs. It was like a Candy and Candy penthouse of the snail world.

I wanted to jazz the snails up a bit, so painted them all with a mix of nail varnish and humbrol. It killed them all, like that bint in Goldfinger.

I still feel guilty killing all those poor snails.

I should write a misery lit book about it.

We started worm farms, which involved filling a jam jar with soil and then inserting all the worms we could dig up in my parents' garden.

They fried to death. A day later we had little worm shaped twiglets....

Actually the worst thing I ever did (and I still get The Guilt about it) is spin my friends hamster round in its little hamster ball. G-force quick. Poor bugger didn't know if it was coming or going.
