Mil had a holiday caravan. We are really fortunate to be able to use it free of charge.
Last year I planned to take my mum and dc to caravan for a few days. Mil happy for us to do it Unfortunately, my mum passed away before we were able to. In the end I didn't go because dh wanted me to take his mum. Not the same.
He is doing it again this year. He is trying to help I know as I will be heavily pregnant in the summer.

Yanbu

I love my inlaws but couldnt imagine being stuck in a caravan with my mil. My dp wouldnt want to go and stay with my parents without me. It's different when it's your own parents.

YANBU

I love my MIL but I would need DH there if we were to go on holiday with her.

jinglemum not so much admit to it but reveal when we go on holiday for the first time...luckily to a villa so a bit more space to move (read flap...boak) around! But the full body hug from his 70 year old dad upon my arrival was memorable...oh, did I mention it was the only time? Won't EVER be making tha mistake again! My poor boyfriend (now hubby) was mortified, bless hm!

In my DH defence, he had said something but i assumed they'd be in swimwear...i mean, what so wrong with a bikini?

Of course, I told EVERYONE...to which a friend wondered where they would stick their buttonholes at the weddng?!

Am I allowed to ask for an update ? Please

I think that being heavily pregnant is enough of a reason not to go to the caravan full stop. Needing the loo frequently, possibly being too hot, not sleeping well at nights, cooped up if raining. And this would put me off even without a MIL there as well.

I used to have a fortnight abroad of MIL with H and DS and that was quite enough. At least I could escape to the room when DS had his nap in the afternoon and leave her sunbathing!
