I don't often post here, but be damned if I am paying out for a stamp for their mistake.
They give no freepost address, I can't talk to a human being (it's all automated phone messages).

Screw them, they can pay postage and handling fee for underpaid item.

Or will it end up in the bin and I will have no logbook....?

AIBU or should I stop moaning and put a stamp on it.
Majority rules.........

You'll probably end up with no log book as the royal mail have a habit of storing and not delivering business things without a stamp on.

Mistakes can happen you know - sure it wasn't done deliberately.

Ilovedaintynuts · 10/04/2012 18:45

Blimmin' eck. Do people really worry about this stuff?
Put a bloody stamp on it.

maydaychild · 10/04/2012 18:46

ABigGirlDoneItAndRanAway · 10/04/2012 19:08

Get a grip and put a stamp on it.

LineRunner · 10/04/2012 19:09

You are just trying to get MN a bad name for being mental.

Aribura · 10/04/2012 19:12

Leave the bastards take the bastards to court, it's the only sensible option.

scuzy · 10/04/2012 19:30

is this really a serious thread?

LineRunner · 10/04/2012 19:31

It's going to end up in a Daily Mail feature about how mad we all are.

roses2 · 10/04/2012 19:55

YANBU, I hate paying for other people's mistakes. The DVLA did the same to me a few years ago but sent me a log book without me having to send the old one back. Isn't there any option to speak to someone?

maydaychild · 10/04/2012 20:31

Nope, their phone hangs up on you when they have finished patronising giving information

OP posts:
CremeEggThief · 10/04/2012 21:17

Try emailing them, but if it doesn't work, rush out and get a 2nd class stamp, before they go up.
If it's any consolation, this is exactly the sort of minor issue I get really annoyed about too! So at least you're not alone in that!

scuzy · 10/04/2012 21:29

oh for the love of god ...

Lousmart · 10/04/2012 21:35

I'm with you. Loathe dvla & that cones from working with them as police liaison. Crappety crap govt agency. Wait until you get a letter in the post where the stamp hasn't been franked and use that. That way you are getting back at dvla & the post office. Both of whom, should be put out to tender IMHO.Angry

scuzy · 10/04/2012 21:36

arent government bodies not allowed to make mistakes? don't be so mean and anal and put a bloody stamp on it!
