Just had my dad and step-mum round and they had bought my 22 week old DS an Easter egg. They looked at me like I was some controlling precious psychopath when I said he can't have chocolate yet! Poor little mite only started on mashed carrot last week Ffs!

I haven't read all the responses but just say thanks and eat it yourself! Can't really see what the problem is?

DS is 27 weeks and got 3 eggs - DH and I have eaten them but gave him tiny slivers of each just so we could honestly tell the well-meaning egg-givers that he'd had some and loved it!

PS - think YWBU for your reaction, no need to be ungrateful when someone's taken the time to think of and do something nice for your DC, even if you feel it's inappropriate. The correct only response is 'thank you very much'.
