To think that if a poster writes they have cramps, telling then to take a pill and get on with it is not nice.

When I was younger I suffered from terrible cramps when I had my period to the extent I was often in bed for three days, pain killers did not help unless they were very strong and prescribed for something else, now neuferon sometimes helps but not always.

I also suffer from IBS and half in the past had terrible stomach cramps again pain killers do not help. Many times I have read threads where people have told an OP to just take a tablet and get on wioth it and it really annoys me.

When I was a teenager most of my friends didn't understand what I went through every month so I understand why people may think popping a pill might solve the problem. I just would like people to think before they post before telling someone to pop a pill.

Oh hang on.
Was it the one with the cat?
That was a bit annoying.

Was iy the cat woman? The one that was questioning her dhs love for her because he went out while she had cramps and the cat had cancer? Which would be the same one that claimed to be on morphine, then corrected it to steroids and liken a child having cancer to the cat having cancer? Yes, pleasant lady she was. YABU, taking a painkiller is a perfectly reasonable suggestion.

YANB entirely U, but everyone has different experiences of pain and it isn't worth getting stressed by what other people on an internet forum say.

For the majority of people period pains are just that - annoying, but fairly mild, pains. For a very small minority (myself included when I was much younger) they can be debilitating - vomiting, passing out, cramps that made labour feel like a walk in the park (ok, not quite, but certainly cramps on a par with giving birth), hot and cold flushes, etc.

What I'm saying is I know where you're coming from but I don't think it is really worth an AIBU post.

As someone who blacked out on the school crossing last week I'm with you on the cramp part, although I'd stupidly missed my 3 neurone every 4 hour window.

However, if you're referring to the thread I'm thinking about featuring dying cats and errant DP's then I think that OP had a whole bunch of ishews and the comments were made in that context to an AIBU question.
