"If you can't afford children you shouldn't have them" [and] "child benefit and tax credits should be abolished" with the mantra that if she choses to be childless she should not be forced to pay for the 'breeding' choices of others.

A Facebook friend of mine. I didn't retaliate.

Hmm

Rhinosaurus · 05/04/2012 23:44

I am not talking about them, I am saying that people really do get that level of benefit.

Hecubasdaughter · 05/04/2012 23:44

but rhino these people are a small minority < bangs head on desk>.

So it is, do you have any more palindromes? I can't think of any.

DioneTheDiabolist · 05/04/2012 23:44

Not very often Rhino, so rather the extreme exception than the rule.

Some on here feel that people on benefits shouldn't have families.

Some that it should be limited to two.

I don't like the idea of limitations either. My last 'child' was twins. Plan that!

Hecubasdaughter, you are obviously not doing enough. If you really wanted a job, you'd get be spending your time finding "universities" on the Internet who would (for a fee of course), furnish you with the necessary documentation to apply for one of the vacant consultant posts in my PCT.

Lets start again.

People making a lifestyle choice, working the system etc are a tiny majority. Therefore welfare reform should not be solely based on them.. Welfare reform should be based on helping the majority get back into work with work then done to deal with the scrounging minority.

To do otherwise is the equivalent of basing 100% of lessons on the needs of 1 child in 30 or basing a wardful of patients' treatment plans on the medical needs of one patient with unusual co-morbidities.

This thread reaches it's inevitable cycle.

More posters come along and agree or disagree without reading the thread...

Elderly posters (those here for half the thread) repeat themselves ad nauseum.

The rest of us keep fucking stabbing at one another until the thread dies and everyone admits that I/Shirely won the the thread.

[actual grin]

[suckme]

CadburysHeaveEgg · 06/04/2012 00:14
