am sick to death of some man Utd fans, just because they are at the top of the prem they think they are Champions and say 'You spent all that money and cannot win' - excuse me but they have always had money, we are just catching up with ourselves and now have injuries to our main players in our crucial games.

Manc City have been top for months, we will still be fighting until the very end so we will see on 13th May who will be top.

am not jealous am just mad!!!! Rant over Grin

There may be a slight point to the spending money bit Wink

LST · 02/04/2012 23:38

I have a great dislike for both Manc teams in all honesty..

GothAnneGeddes · 02/04/2012 23:40

Come on now, surely the only true blue bitters are Everton. And I'm not a Liverpool fan either.

OP YANBU and I think it's good to see a football thread in AIBU.

MNHelenisPansfavourite · 02/04/2012 23:41

I'd invite you all over to BelfastBlokes Rolling Footie Thread but you all seem a bit too raucous. We like to contemplate our football in Dadsnet, where one conversation can last months.Smile

FreudianSlipper · 02/04/2012 23:45

i was only interested in football when Jose Mourinho managed chelsea. i secretly hoped they would lose, he would go out to drown his sorrows and i would supply the breasts shoulder to cry on and help get rid of a all the pent up frustration

NarkedPuffin · 02/04/2012 23:46

United earnt every penny they spent. They have debts now because the Glazers borrowed to buy them and then mortgaged them to repay the loans.

City have hundreds of millions. They have players on loan at clubs all over the country because they don't want them anymore but can't sell them because no-one will pay the hyper-inflated wages they offer - Adebayor £120K+/week! Don't claim injuries when you have enough players to field 3 teams out on loan ATM

All that money and you still can't win

cantspel · 02/04/2012 23:47

I cant stand city or united but at least Mancini is good to look at where as Fergerson looks like a bull dog chewing a wasp.

NarkedPuffin · 02/04/2012 23:53

We obviously look for different things in managers and in men.

I like my managers competent and my men sexy.

You like your managers erratic and your men ... wearing a scarf???

MNHelenisPansfavourite · 02/04/2012 23:53

trouble for Citeh now is that it's been shown Henri Mancini's brother can't buy the title, so how on earth are they going to win it?? Sans Mancini.
"Here's Jose!"

EricNorthmansFangBanger · 02/04/2012 23:55

OP, YANBU
As a fellow Liverpool fan I definitely agree with keepingup, plenty of history with the manc shite - the red side not the blue side obviously Grin

EricNorthmansFangBanger · 02/04/2012 23:56

Not that I'm calling the blue side shite....argh foot in mouth! Blush

MNHelenisPansfavourite · 02/04/2012 23:56

oh dear. King Kenny has even less chance of success, or losing stylishly, than Mancini!

Mum2Luke · 02/04/2012 23:57

Err excuse me but who had all the money for all those years - yes of course UTD! How do you think they bought all those players etc?

Am just fed up of the so-called 'fans' who probably have never set foot in OT and never will where the real supporters who go in week in week out putting up with the crap they give us. Wouldn't mind but Trafford is not in the Manchester border zone as the Etihad Stadium is , its a suburb outstide as Tameside and all the rest of Greater Manchester towns.

Don't remember Mancini or Balotelli playing for you Rags!

In my experience ManU fans do indeed tend to be irritatingly cocksure but they also - and this is what I always notice - take themselves way too seriously

NarkedPuffin · 03/04/2012 00:02

They earnt the money.

Ticket sales, shirt sales etc etc.

MNHelenisPansfavourite · 03/04/2012 00:02

Oh but they DO play for us! And really well, thanks.

As a Red it is my misfortune to have to cycle past the Etihad stadium on the way to work and back every day.Currently there is a circus based in the car park, full of clowns....Grin Always cheers me up.

cantspel · 03/04/2012 00:03

Nothing wrong with a man in a scarf at least he has the sense to keep warm.

My teams manager is Big Sam and my team is always skint but at least we have our glory days to remember.

Mum2Luke · 03/04/2012 00:04

they won't be so cocksure when we thump them again at the Etihad on the 30th April - repeat of 6-1 I hope and its a sell-out, the Noisy neighbours will be cheering on our Blues.

At least most Blues (you know who you are who left before we scored 3 goals against Sunderland) stay till the very end)

It's amazing how many City fans there are nowadays. I wonder how they ever used to fit into Maine Road?

MNHelenisPansfavourite · 03/04/2012 00:06

Blue-baiting is fun, but wears thin v quickly - just too easy.
Night.

MNHelenisPansfavourite · 03/04/2012 00:08

I did go into the Etihad a few months ago for a conference in the Board Room, and I wandered out onto the pitch side at lunch. The stadium is really teeny.

NarkedPuffin · 03/04/2012 00:13

They'll win the league eventually. When their plan finally comes to fruition, and 50% of all Premier League team sheets are made up of City players on loan who can't be fielded against them.

NarkedPuffin · 03/04/2012 00:16

I was brought up to believe Manchester needed two teams, and have always wished them well. Then they got £££££ and started acting like twats. Poaching Tevez was arsey, the billboard was asking for trouble, and the karma was a bitch.
