Can't stand 'mom' or 'mommy'.

Alambil · 01/04/2012 00:58

why? there are areas of the UK that refer to mothers as mom as well as the USA!

ivykaty44 · 01/04/2012 01:00

No duh it's an April Fool but by the way people need to stop being so arsey about "mom". Sooo common in the West Midlands! The vast majority of people I know say "mom". Wonder how many minds I will blow in telling you that people also say "mam" or even "mama". Shock

BananasInBloomers · 01/04/2012 01:05

It's "maw" and "mammy" on the west coast of Scotland.

DH is from the Midlands and says / types, "Mom"

I met him on-line and there were a few people from the U.S I was speaking to at the same time (2003)

Thought he was American for months!

ChippingInNeedsCoffee · 01/04/2012 10:44

I think you should report your own post, apologise and tell J that you are happy to have your thread deleted. It's just rude really.
