Oh i so need to let it out! And so i will -

Simpering, disingenuous, 'i love me', hair flicking, face pulling, incincere, trollopy ........ COW!

Ruins my Friday mornings. Why has she been on seemingly every bloody morning this week again?

"Bugger off Susanna Reid"!

Thats it. I feel slightly better. Thank you.

Susanna is alright. It's that bloody Charlie I don't like...he's like an area manager. Bill is lovely, I like Sian too. Louise is a knob.

I am still reeling from accidentally tuning in to Fiona Phillips yesterday covering for Lorraine. I asked on another thread can anyone think of a female presenter they actually like? Mel and Sue for me!

Susannah comes across as smug to me.

Downnotout · 31/03/2012 07:42

I like Suzanna. She is very popular with the male population though - but nothing wrong with that. I did like Sian's presenting style- her and Bill with his very naff jokes were comforting somehow but I agree about the lollipop thing. Can't stand cardboard Charlie.

I don't mind Mel and Sue but they are a bit right on sometimes.

I like Holly Willoughby.

fedupofnamechanging · 31/03/2012 07:46

I like Fiona Phillips - she strikes me as a bit grumpy and very normal.

Am cringing at Louise Minchin's self publicity. Why would she think that's a good idea and likely to help her - doesn't she know that most people will vom at such blatant self promotion?

Sparklingbrook · 31/03/2012 07:50

Fiona held her pen throughout, and giggled and waved her arms about a lot. It was v distracting from the interview of someone I didn't know from a soap I don't watch Grin

fedupofnamechanging · 31/03/2012 07:50

I hate Lorraine Kelly - all that giggly falseness. Urgh!

Also can't be doing with Eamonn and Ruth. They don't seem quite comfortable - lots of little awkward moments.

Bring back Anne and Nick! I would happily watch those two - they remind me of sneaky days off from school, pretending to be ill and watching daytime telly with my mum and thinking how nice her days were compared to mine.

Downnotout · 31/03/2012 07:59

Oh and this Raymond Snoddy is just odd.

coffeeinbed · 31/03/2012 08:07

There was someone a few weekends ago - she usually does the sport , long dark hair? Not Susanna, even though she does all that as well. Most annoying.
Drove me bonkers, all the pouting, draping on sofa in the most decorative way.
I do like Louise Minchin though.
And so sorry Sian left.

Glittertwins · 31/03/2012 08:08

Why does Sian always sit ramrod straight with her arms fastened to the sofa? When she turns round, she looks like she has an invisible winch moving her, really really unnatural. Bill gets on my nerves with his intonation. Why does he turn every statement into a question??

limitedperiodonly · 31/03/2012 08:33

Does Charlie Stayt ask awkward questions deliberately or is he just inept? I'll have to watch now. I love car crash interviews.

Jeremy Bowen used to derail soft interviews to show he was a SERIOUS journalist. It must have been a relief all round when he was transferred to be Middle East Editor.

The other day on Sky Eric Cantona was promoting his latest film and was clearly angry when Adam Boulton and his co-presenter asked why he'd nominated himself for French President and who'd win the title out of Man Utd and Man City.

Eric had insisted there were to be no questions on politics or football. Er, don't appear on a news show with Sky's Political Editor when the team you used to play for is contending the Premiership.

I'm not going to blame King Eric for anything though. Grin He was probably misinformed. Don't understand what the problem was though.

Catsmamma · 31/03/2012 08:49

I liked Bill and Sian!

I am not keen on Susannah but she did once reduce some mealy mouthed politicio to opening and closing his mouth like a goldfish with a KILLER question

...helpfully I cannot remember who or what, but she really went up in my estimation!

And Sian was not above telling someone off for skirting the questions "yes, but that's not what you were asked" sort of thing, which is very amusing when you know the victim person being interviewed only came on because they thought they'd have an easy fluffy five minutes on the sofa!

Louise Minchin is a simpering Bimbo.

LadyWord · 31/03/2012 09:07

I've never hated susanna, I think she's ok, though Sian is better. But I do hate how they both obviously feel a pressure to be thin and glamorous, and how the women on BBC news seem to be largely selected on that basis. There isn't a female equivalent to bill is there. They should use the reshuffle to bring in an older, super-smart/funny woman and not consider her looks or weight. In fact I think it would be good for all of us to wake up to someone like that.

BelleDameSansMerci · 31/03/2012 09:11

I get told I look like Susanna Reid (more likely her mother age-wise). Not sure that's a good thing now. Grin

AThingInYourLife · 31/03/2012 09:19

BelleDame - Susanna Reid is gorgeous, I would take it as a compliment.

Charlie said 'consoomer' yesterday. Steph said 'them gimmicks' on Thursday. I think it may well be Radio four for me in the mornings now.

LittleAlbert · 31/03/2012 10:25

DP loves her

LentillyFart · 31/03/2012 10:27

Why has nobody mentioned the little gimpy guy they're always sending off to try obscure sports or other stuff nobody gives a flying fuck about? Don't even remember his name but he makes the red mist of incandescent rage descend upon me every time! Mike something?

MNHelenisPansfavourite · 31/03/2012 10:28

Ms Reid is foxy and very professional, and wears very nice dresses and has lovely knees.

EssentialFattyAcid · 31/03/2012 10:30

I loved Bill and Sian together and I am gutted that Sian has left

However I utterly can't stand that awful weather woman Carol who calls Bill "Billie" and looks a fright.

And I don't like the woman who does the business news either - bring back Simon Jack with his wavey aroundy arms!

granule · 31/03/2012 10:34

Charlie Stayt is exactly how I imagined the smoooth anchorman character in that Jilly Cooper book. Rivals?

Lay off Carol, EFA Grin she clearly has a thumping great crush on Billy. Poor soul.

MNHelenisPansfavourite · 31/03/2012 10:38

SR also won the SCD celeb dancing thing recently. Has rythm, can dance and act a bit. And has lovely knees. What is there to not like?

granule · 31/03/2012 10:39

There are loads of female Beeb presenters who I actually like. Fiona Bruce, Claire Balding, The new northern business one, The blonde one off Countryfile - all good.

MNHelenisPansfavourite · 31/03/2012 10:42

yes, Claire Balding and the business woman aren't fitting in the 'thin glamorous' accusation are they? The blonde-haied one off Countryfile is dismayingly toothesomely healthy. And wears a pullover and jeans really well.....

hazeyjane · 31/03/2012 10:45

BelleDame, some builders working on our house asked me if I was SR's sister, because they thought I looked like her. One of them had even taken a photo of the TV to show me!

Unfortunately the reality is that if I look in any way like her it would be her much fatter, older and more knackered looking sister.
