To really appreciate the non fluffyness of MN?

In comparison to another parenting forum I am a member of - I really like the way that MN is not all walking on eggshells-like.

Maybe I´m just bitchy - but surely no-one is as sweetness and light as all that "hun" and "bless you" from Other Forums would lead us to believe?

I think it's fine to have opinions but I do wonder why certain posters have to be so dogmatic and aggressive as their starting point on every thread on certain topics
