I want Damian Lewis as the Doctor with Paul Bettany as his sidekick.

I don't like Matt much not his fault he is just too young. I really fell for David T. He was just perfect.

YANBU.

In have to be honest I don't get the Dr Who love and obsession, but my current favourite programme is Doctors so I'm not sure my opinion is valid Grin

YABVVVVVVU.

Of course it's news - and thank you for bringing it to my attention, as I hadn't seen it.

VegimalStyle · 22/03/2012 07:25

Matt smith is great for 2 reasons.

  1. The assistants aren't mooning after him all the time (see Martha)
  1. Fish custard!

YABU... it's like the perennial press-release when they change actor for James Bond or a celeb joins the cast of Eastenders. Dr Who is a big export earner and a lot of people enjoy it. Is newsprint only warranted when it's about death and destruction?

Sparklingbrook · 22/03/2012 07:53

I'm surprised they squeezed it in on budget day TBH. Still don't think it's news.

The result of a cricket match or which football manager has been sacked this week is hardly news either but the back pages of most newspapers seem obsessed with similar special interest trivia. That's news for you... some you read, some you gloss over.

Sparklingbrook · 22/03/2012 08:22

I don't read the papers-it like 'hunt the news' in them. Grin

Wait until May 27th... ... there will be a piece on most news progs about whether Englebert brought home the cup or not. Personally, I like the 'and finally' slot...

Sparklingbrook · 22/03/2012 08:33

What do you think his chances are? Not heard the song.

Zero. Eurovision is rather like the UN. Allies vote for each other, enemies vote for a neutral country and no-one votes for Britain because no-one likes us. :)
