It seems like people think I am the world's biggest sadcase if I mention it in conversation. I'm mostly a lurker btw and this is the first I have posted in ages.

Just wondering, do you tell people or is it taboo and I have missed this important unspoken rule?

FluffyBunny No, I read it in a thread about dishwashers (of course, obvious place, no? :) )

Fill bottle one quarter full of pear drops, then fill to top with vodka. Shake periodically until pear drops are all dissolved.

If you have a dishwasher, you can seal the bottle (put lid on then wrap with cling film) and then put on top shelf of dishwasher and run a 65 degree cycle - this speeds the process up so it's drinkable the same day - once cooled, obvs.

Works with any boiled sweets really, I wanted to do Rhubarb & Custard but couldn't find the sweets.

Only my DP knows that I come on here. DP was interested to know more about the comments I was posting but I refused to show her as so much is just rubbish and I was frankly embarassed. But I do tell DP about the funny or interesting ones. And when I told peopel hwo to make pear vodka in the dishwasher some seemed to know already...but I couldn't tell if they knew from here or not.

DH knows. He rolls his eyes and tells me that being on MN (and re-learning to knit) are signs of old age....Confused
