I want recognition on Mothers' Day - what do you want on Mothers' Day?

I was forgotten one year and so I stopped hinting and hoping and told them exactly what was expected and it seemed to work.
I'm wondering what you want on Mothers' Day?

hopefully to be in labour woo woo!

BupcakesandCunting · 16/03/2012 08:43

Have any of the MN Martyr crew been on yet saying all they want for Mother's Day is their children to fart in their general direction and what needy harridans YOU LOT all are? Wink

MamaGeekChic · 16/03/2012 08:43

a bunch of tulips, a card and a snuggle with 10mo DD... my first mother's day- i'm looking forward to it. I'll probably take some cream cakes round to my mums for a cup of tea and cuddle too :)

Shinyshoes1 · 16/03/2012 08:48

I would like Lorraine Pascales cookbook.

Don't think i'll get it though DP is superskint , just a day where I won't have to do anything and DP and the children do it all would be nice

angell74 · 16/03/2012 12:16

I would like a lie in with the Sunday papers, no mention of a trip to the fish or train shop 'just to look' and my lunch (beans on toast will be fine) cooked for me. That's all - I'm low maintenance me!

SydSaid · 16/03/2012 12:20

Want my daughter to be fully recovered from the stomach bug she has.

As for any of the commercialised nonsense, cards, overpriced flowers etc - no ta.

NowThenWreck · 16/03/2012 12:20

Hot Sex with a Bad Man.

Haribojoe · 16/03/2012 12:23

Would love to give birth to DC4 (38 weeks pg) so that I can have my first really wonderful mothers day since losing my Mum.
Keep your fingers crossed for me Smile

Sparklingbrook · 16/03/2012 12:23

Good luck Haribo. DS1 was 2 weeks early.

SydSaid · 16/03/2012 12:23

On second thoughts, I'll have what NowThenWreck is having!

MrsChemist · 16/03/2012 12:25

i'd like pancakes

marshmallowpies · 16/03/2012 12:26

I want to fast forward another 4 weeks and BE a mum. Won't really feel like myself until she is safely out and in my arms and we are ready to take on the world!

NowThenWreck · 16/03/2012 12:27

If only Syd, If only!

melodyangel · 16/03/2012 12:29

Haribojoe and SydSaid - fingers crossed for you both here.

I would like to be able to watch the F1 in bed, with all my boys, LIVE but as I refuse to give Mr Murdock as single penny of my money I shall miss it for the first time in 20 years!

OrmIrian · 16/03/2012 12:30

Oh I get recognised alright. 'Hi Mum' they say. That's how I know they recognise me Grin

I want flowers. A fuck-off big bunch of expensive flowers. But I won't get 'em DH seems to have an allergy to buying flowers these days. He thinks they are a waste of money...which is sort of the point. When they were younger DH used to let them loose in one of those cheap nick-nacky shops - I have more sparkly fairy statues and pink teddy bears with 'I love mum' badges on and dragon figurines than i can shake a stick at Grin

I suspect these days he has to remind them several times and then buy me something himself..

faintpinkline · 16/03/2012 12:30

A cuddle from dd and the card I know she's been busy making me in secret. Also the time to eat 2 boiled eggs and lots of tea, toast and orange juice for breakfast in peace just for once.

Otherwise I don't want or expect much.

Have sent my mum flowers

Headagainstwall · 16/03/2012 12:32

What link? Why can't I see a link?!

I just want chocolate.

SydSaid · 16/03/2012 12:35

Melodyangel, I feel your pain! I do have Sky (was the only option till recently), and I am considering ordering hd, just so I can watch f1 - but I can't really justify it...

ChooChooWowWow · 16/03/2012 12:42

I know dh and my younger dc will make sure I have a lovely day. On the surface I will for their sakes. What I really really want is my eldest dd to get in touch with me. She stopped talking to us two months ago, she's blocked me on fb, changed her phone number and moved house.
I have no idea why she has done it. Her little sister misses her terribly and my heart is breaking. Sad

MOSagain · 16/03/2012 12:45

I'd like 8 hours sleep the night before then a few hours of peace and quiet so I could go and buy some lovely flowers to go and put on mum's (and dad's) grave. I hate seeing all the mothers day stuff in all the shops at the moment, makes me really Sad

Ragwort · 16/03/2012 12:49

I am getting exactly what I want - peace and quiet as DH and DS are out for the day, I have chosen my own card Grin because I loathe those fluffy, teddy bear sick inducing ones that DH and DS would choose. I really don't like presents for the sake of it, although it would be nice to have my car washed.

I shall do my own thing all day and as I love cooking am happy to cook my favourite meal to welcome them home Smile - plus a bottle of wine or two of course.

ChooChoo - so sorry to read your post, how old is your DD ? Sad

SeeingDouble · 16/03/2012 12:56

Al0uise I am so with you on that ... my wish is the same

Solo · 16/03/2012 12:59

Molehillmountain · 16/03/2012 13:06
