They're building a McDonalds in our town. Within walking distance!! I'm so excited!! I love big macs. Oh god I can't wait!!

For the record, our nearest McDonald (or any other fast food chain) is 12 miles away. Long may it stay that way!

YANBU. I don't care about food snobbery, when I'm in the mood to eat junk, it's usually McDonald's I crave - may be something to do with working there as a manager for 5 years through 6th form and uni.... many happy memories :) Now it's a lifesaver when we've run out of time and the DC are cranky so we need to feed them and get them to bed quickly. They love it, I love not having to cook for them and I get to sneakily have a quarter pounder or big mac (cheeseburger if skint or not that hungry), or a chocolate shake. Ours is dangerously close - opposite the end of the road so just over a 5 minute walk. Actually, considering how close it is, I've done well not to go there more often.

Loopy the poster said she works with "rahtards" and that she takes the "shaven little monkeys" there. Then she said that she tells everyone to fuck off because she weighs 230lbs and getting fatter and everyone laughs at her. Very Confuseding

On that same subject I have noted your complaint that big macs are smaller than they used to be, drawn a parallel, constructed a fine single-intendre for myself and am now sniggering.

There are a few American fast food chains I'm quite happy haven't made it over here (or at least, to my town in the midlands), as I'd be even bigger than I am. McDonalds doesn't really interest me, though I admit when I was pregnant I did waddle over to one and get the largest fries I could along with a shake. mm salt.

And yes, love their breakfast, do love a good road trip so I have the excuse to get an egg mcmuffin. Been years, though. :(
