I have major problems, and no idea whether its the site (tho is expect others to have raised it) or my phone or what!

Yes, what phone do you have? mine is fine if a little slow.

BrianCoxHasScaryHair · 09/03/2012 09:40

I do, am on laptop at the moment.

I've got a Wildfire. Only had it a month, having changed from a Blackberry bold - is a nightmare, am rubbish with the touchscreen!!

Give me a sec and I'll see if I have any problems.

All working fine here - am at home so am linked to Wireless and not the mobile site (am with Vodafone)

Maybe it's your provider having a go-slow?

NoWayNoHow · 09/03/2012 09:43

stranded I have a Cha Cha too!

justtryingtodomybest · 09/03/2012 09:44

I have a cha cha too!

StealthPolarBear · 09/03/2012 09:45

A lot of what you say is gobbledegook! I put the cursor in the box and the keyboard pops up, fine. But then as I start to type the page whizzes up so the box isn't actually visible while I type.

Other problem, if I want to go up in the box and correct something I use the touch screen to place the cursor where I want it, but as soon as I've done that it jumps about!

Think 1 must be the webpage, not sure about 2. 1 happens most of the time, tho typically not right now. 2 always happens, unless I happen to be putting he cursor right at the end of the text. Putting the 2 together makes for error filled and frustrTing posting as I can't see hat I type and it could be anywhere

why use the mobile site? full site has always worked fine for me on a htc

WorraLiberty · 09/03/2012 09:53

Right! I didn't want to have to ask this and out myself as an old gimmer! Angry

But what is a 'htc' please? Blush

And the last I knew, a 'cha cha' was a dance.

BrianCoxHasScaryHair · 09/03/2012 09:55

Yeah, actually that does happen to me too - drives me mad. So you start to type and then you can't see what you're typing.

Everytime I log in, I have to change my NN from BrianCox HasScaryHair and remove the space between the x and S - typo but bloody thing has remembered it!! It's a nightmare trying to get the cursor to the right place to remove the space.

Sounds like maybe HTC and MN are just not that great together? I will try and use the normal site next time, if it works well.

MrsKitty · 09/03/2012 09:56

SPB, yes, I get the exact same problem - no idea whether I'm using the full site or the mobile site though Blush. Drives me mad.

I think I've got a HTC Desire S. Wouldn't swear to it though.

crazygracieuk · 09/03/2012 09:56

Htc is a manufacturer of mobile phones.

StealthPolarBear · 09/03/2012 09:56

Tyler I started using normal sire but had to scroll left and don't as well as up and down. Mob site much better. Plus I four the links too small to lick on. Actually, good question, can't remember if I had this on main site, might have to try.
Words, HTC is brand of smart phone. Sort of iPhone type, but cheaper.

YonWhaleFish · 09/03/2012 09:56

Is there any sort of app for the blackberry?

WorraLiberty · 09/03/2012 09:57

Oh right...thanks

Blush
Kveta · 09/03/2012 09:57

I've got a wildfire, and occasionally have those problems, but tend to restart the internet and it works fine. I don't tend to post using my phone though, as am too lazy!

StealthPolarBear · 09/03/2012 09:58

Glad it isn't just me. Was worried that noone would know what I was on about! Mrsk, does the url start WWW.mumsnet or m.mumsnet. latter is mobile site.

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 09/03/2012 09:59

OP posts:
BrianCoxHasScaryHair · 09/03/2012 09:59

Blackberry - just the mobile site but I never had any problems (other than my inability to deal with anything remotely technical Grin )

YonWhaleFish · 09/03/2012 10:00

Whats the mobile site address?

StealthPolarBear · 09/03/2012 10:00

No idea what a cha cha is!
And its behaving at the moment, not vanishing off the top of the screen. Anyone else?

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 09/03/2012 10:01

fatcaaah · 09/03/2012 10:02

Mine is an HTC desire hf apparently. I have exactly those problems too, though not every time.

No idea why and just resigned to it happening and being annoying. Actually it's just happened now.

thenightsky · 09/03/2012 10:02

Mine works faster than my laptop! I have HTC HD on T-Mobile.

You can shift to the mobile version by clicking on the tiny link right at the very bottom of this page, left hand side.
