To ask why so many people dislike Matthew Wright?

I normally bow to the majority wisdom of MN, and if there's one thing on which most MNers seem to agree on it's that Matthew Wright is a twat.

But...he's always seemed quite nice to me. Really. I think I've said in the past that he's the kind of man I'd like to pop round and have a cup of tea with. I even once rang into the show (although I blame that incident on post natal hormones). So what's he done that's so twattish? I'm guessing there must be something that I've missed for MN to be so united on this, but I genuinely don't think I've ever heard him say something unpleasant.

Big Girl - what do you mean about from what you've heard MW is def not a woman hater? Has one of your friends been intimate with him? Tell all!

FWIW he's dropped a few right bollocks over the years, but acknowledged them when the show has been pulled up, so they obviously listen to their viewing public.

Also, lets face it, the digs at Mumsnet certainly don't do this wbsit any harm. Quite the opposite I'd say

I have a coffee read the paper etc most mornings with his programme on. I often think he would get the point more if he didn't have to parade channel 5 goons on as guests.
I actively liked Mark Lyttle and Janet Ellis along with him but feel he is often easily led by more alpha males on the panel.

I don't hate him. He is a rubber faced wanker and his programme is the very definition of dumbed down but I don't hate him.
He is a cynical, self important arse who landed himself a tv show. But so did Jeremy Kyke. So did the bunch of women who talk about nothing.

The only thing that shocks me is that people watch this shit. I like crap tv. But crap tv pretending to be important is really grim.
