very very cross, the girl is pregnant, stressful enough, she is working with a small child, stressful. She has been caught out so we feel the need to make her go on this morning and answer her crimes... get chucked out of a shit competition because of it- don't even start me on natasha giggs wtf, clearly banging your husbands brother is ok, smoking is not. Poor girl, I feel disgusted that she was made to feel like such a villan.

Smoking while pregnant is awful.

I smoked 20 a day before I got pregnant... as soon as DH and I started trying (literally the day) I stopped.

It's hard, but its not about you, its about your baby. I actually don't understand why anyone would stick up for her, the facts are clear.

She chose to smoke. Presumably, she bought them, she makes a conscious decision to go outside or whatever and have one. Then she buys more. Awful.

So she's a nobody then!

You wouldn't be saying that if someone had taken a picture of her inadvertently blowing smoke in her newborn's face. And then taken the same picture the next day.

She's a reality TV star.

She's handed herself to the public on a platter as a form of entertainment. Let her deal with the consequences.

She should definately be villified for trying to sell that anaemic lump of reconstituted pig arses masquearading as a pork joint in that TV ad.....

I agree.,I know she's done something stupid but she's only human. I felt really sorry for her on This Morning, all that upset is prob even worse for her baby.

WRT your thread title...she is not just "smoking a few fags" as if she is just a girl who smokes...

SS is a PREGNANT mother who smokes openly and knowing she will be villified as she has chosen to live in the public eye. making excuses that her GP told her not to quit is stupid. (i see you have put some of this in your OP as excuses for her smoking) would she light a cigarrette and put it into her newborns mouth? doubt it but that is effectively what she is doing to her unborn child every single time she inhales the smoke from the cigarrette...

She gets paid ALOT of money to smile for a camera, sing songs and dance about. she is a role model for other young single mothers and teen girls who find themselves pregnant and she should behave in a way that reflects that. if she doesnt like it then basically, she has chosen to pursue this lifestyle/career so she has to lump it!

when I get paid hundreds of thousands of pounds to talk about fish fingers and sing a few songs, THEN i will look at my lifestyle and compare it to hers. (i dont smoke, do drugs etc so in comparison, looking at my life etc im living a more health- conscious lifestyle...i am fat though(due to medical/health reasons) so i suppose im not entitled to an opinion...)

Bollocks- hundreds of thousands of women cope with more stressful careers AND more children and manage it without smoking!

She also didn't HAVE to go on telly to try to 'explain' herself. It was a choice. All publicity is good publicity and all that.. Honestly save your concern for people who deal with REAL stress and hard work

YABU. It is not hard to understand why people feel upset at the sight of a smoking pregnant woman. The worst is when you see them pregnant and standing outside the hospital maternity unit's doors in their pjs/dressing gown with a tab in hand. The hospital staff must despair and think what is the fucking point.

Was it her choice to go on tv and defend herself? Or was her management worried about the knock on effects?
