Not "oh right"

I have absolute proof that diets do not work.

WW, LL & SW have not gone out of business.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 01/03/2012 16:58

True MrsDV. You have to change your diet permanently. There is not use going on LL for 4 months and then celebrating your weightloss with a slap up meal, and putting it all back on.

YonWhaleFish · 01/03/2012 16:58

I'm hungry.

Response to a dieter "weeeeelll, you could do with less chins."

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 01/03/2012 17:01

Exactly Getorf

They are a huge profit making scam feeding off the bleached bones of women's insecurities and are supported by the bloated anti woman media machine.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 01/03/2012 17:02

I agree, that dozy advert for ww with Alesha Dixon in it makes me spit.

And the whole terminology of slimming world with their 'syns'. urgh.

And special K lady biting her lip in worry when looking at a cake.

Winkly · 01/03/2012 17:06

People in my new office keep asking me if I'm on a diet.

Apparently I am the only woman in the office who isn't.

I am also the only woman in the office likely to punch the next person who asks that.

And it is possible to have salad for lunch cos it's nice, then have a Kit Kat later with my tea, without collapsing under the weight of contradiction.

Ilovedaintynuts · 01/03/2012 17:13

I knew I was fat when I went into a local pub to enquire about prices for holding a function there - as I approached the bar and without muttering a word the barman said "weight watchers is up stairs".
Not a good feeling!

GetOrfMoiiLand · 01/03/2012 17:14

lolol at daintynuts.

Sorry - but that is very funny.

But have you seen the advert for Jenny Craig with Demented Spice?

What the holy feckeroonie is THAT about?

'now I go widdly widdly widdly when I walk, before Iused to go badooma badooma badooma' Shock

That advert makes me want to gorge myself on chocolate stuffed donughts wrapped in choux pastry and dipped in jam.

BearlyThere · 01/03/2012 17:46

Lol at nuts.
That's funny. I was once getting a parking ticket outside a community centre abd a rather nervous looking fat ish guy lolloped over to me to ask if I was going to ww. Bless him

I'm not fat but have ww the odd stone occasionally. I said no I wasn't but how well it worked for me. :)

I think diets work. Greed works faster though.

On Weds I had chips and a roll a can of generic red bull and two cream donuts for lunch. Not one person asked me if I was on a diet. The amount of people who commented on what I was eating was incredible. Well when I say people I mean women of course.

Jeez you would have thought I was eating a buttered baby at my desk.

Women are weird about food. That is all.

BearlyThere · 01/03/2012 17:49

The feeling of liberation when you lose weight that's been troubling you us brilliant though. No more breathing in, covering your arms or your arse. Just fantastic.
That's why I feel sad for women posting that they look bad hate clothes people avoiding the elephant in the room, avoiding dating " do yourself a favour, eating isn't making you happy "

OP posts:
BearlyThere · 01/03/2012 17:50

Lol
Not avoiding dating. Avoiding saying.

On every other "relationship "
The advice on here would be to bin an unhappy one. Yet with food we' enable.
