Well I admire it and I would the other people too. My younger brother was very similar. He was expelled at 15 and left home to live in a squat in a rough part of Manchester. He was into drugs too. He's now been through uni and has a great job in London.

My mum and dad were a mess ( understandably). They were too proud to ask for help and nearly lost him. They are still sceptical when I say he always remembers dc's birthdays etc. He turned his life around about 6 years ago and they still don't trust him. He's 28 now.

I'd like to swap mine please.

See lots of stories with good endings then. :)

TheOneWithTheHair · 28/02/2012 13:45

Solo what do you have dc wise?

Solo · 28/02/2012 13:50

My teen is 13.6. Tall, handsome and ignorant, rude, lazy etc etc. Picks on his 5yo sister that has to share his bedroom...
This morning, he forced a parp out whilst he he his back to me and I told him he was totally disrespectful to me. He told me that he doesn't respect me, that he knows he should, but he doesn't. Don't get me wrong, we don't normally leave the room to drop wind, but it was the way he did it this morning :(

Solo · 28/02/2012 13:53

He doesn't wash any more, leaves the house without putting a comb through his hair and has only just started to badly clean his teeth after I took a photo of them to show him how dirty they were.
He's an intelligent Grammar school boy and I don't know where he gets this bad behaviour from.

No not really. The nearest one he and she tried to get together, but I wasn't having any of it! he decided I was right about studying before girlfriends...he seems to have forgotten about the studying bit though.
