To fancy Alan Rickman?

I'm 23 and DP thinks I'm strange that I only really fancy older men celeb wise.

I also fancy Ryan Gosling, Ryan Reynolds, David Boreanaz and Leonardo DiCaprio. I know they're all mid thirties plus but men just get better with age imo.

YADNBU!! It's his voice that does it for me... YY especially as Snape. Totally would any day.

I'm 22 btw and most of my friends really don't get it Smile

Mr Inferior. I thought you just called him that and I had fabulous ideas of a new nickname for DP and then I saw your name!! :o

Hang on, are you saying Leo DiCaprio counts as an older man now?! I'm only six years older than you, but really can't think of him in that category...is this the equivalent of policemen getting younger?!

But back to the point, Alan Rickman is overwhelmingly fanciable. As is Liam Neeson...

microserf · 26/02/2012 20:39

YANBU!

alessthandomesticgoddess · 26/02/2012 20:39

I don't count anyone under 45 an 'older man' but DP does. He's just jealous.

I loved him in Truly Madly Deeply and Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. He is lush.

qo · 26/02/2012 20:43

I've fancied Mr Rickman since truly, madly, deeply - he is rather gorgeous.

headinhands · 26/02/2012 20:44

'The Rick' is about the only celeb I fancy. And I've got it bad BlushGrin

EdlessAllenPoe · 26/02/2012 20:44

YABVU - he's mine...

i quite dug him as Sheriff of Nottingham. And more so as Snape.

Earthymama · 26/02/2012 20:49

I have met The Man Himself (bumped into him in the street in Stratford upon Avon eons ago when he was playing Jacques in As you like It, with Juliet Stevenson and maybe Harriet Walter)
He strode around in a long great coat and was charming and ver ver sexy!!

nemmynem · 26/02/2012 20:50

YANBU hes sexy!! also agree with Ryan Reynolds.. i'v been in love with him since '2 guys and a girl'

joanofarchitrave · 26/02/2012 20:51

It's always a slow burn with him IME. Start off the film thinking 'quite nice' and somewhere about half way he does that thing with his mouth and it's like being punched in the stomach. CF 'close my eyes' when he is actually quite annoying at first and then, woah. Must be incredibly inconvenient being his partner, filling the dishwasher etc and then suddenly he switches it on, as it were.

OnTheBottomWithAWomansWeekly · 26/02/2012 20:52

My SIL & I have agreed that if we are ever in the same room as Alan Rickman we will fight to the death over him. My brother was in the room at the time & just sighed...YABU cos he's mine!

BelleEnd · 26/02/2012 20:54

PHWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAR!
Specially when he says "Robin of Locksley, I'm going to cut your heart out with a spoon!"

Marshy · 26/02/2012 20:59

You see, i just see him as quite old with a big nose and nasal kind of voice - definitely a snorer. Now Leonardo is a different matter altogether....... old-fashioned Hollywood good looks, very lovely!

MrsDmitriTippensKrushnic · 26/02/2012 21:05

It's definitely NBU to appreciate the delight that is Alan Rickman.

I've never seen all of Dark Harbour, but I've watched a few times... Blush

I'm also very fond of his tangoing with Sharleen Spitari in her video.

VagolaJahooli · 26/02/2012 21:09

Indith, haven't we had this discussion somewhere else Wink. I loved him in T,M,D and could have ripped his britches off and shown him a thing or two in that Jane Austen one where he got all soppy over Kate Winslet. I tell you what if they'd had him coming out of that dam all wet in Pride & Prejudice, there'd have been broken teles all over Britain as women threw themselves at them.

Superene · 26/02/2012 21:10

I met Alan Rickman. He is a bit sweaty. About 10 years ago I worked at the agency that represented him and I had to go backstage to see him after watching him in a Noel Coward play. I knocked at the door of his dressing room. He flung it open and said "Superene darling! Would you like some champagne?" unfortunately I had to decline. I'm not sure which of us was more disappointed/relieved.

Francagoestohollywood · 26/02/2012 21:12

I usually never fancy older men, but Alan Rickman as Severus Snape won me over.
So, he is MINE.

Marshy · 26/02/2012 21:15

Well..........you are all welcome to him! (off to find lovely younger man)

CaveMum · 26/02/2012 21:17

PreviouslyonLost · 26/02/2012 21:20

Could you be any less unreasonable Op?

The voice. Enough.

Melts.

PeanutButterChocolate · 26/02/2012 21:28

YANBU.

YAalsoNBU about Ryan Gosling. I have watched both Drive and The Ides of March this week so am having a bit of a thing about him at the mo'. He is just heavenly.

alessthandomesticgoddess · 26/02/2012 21:28

I made DP (new name, Mr Inferior) look at this thread. He is telling you all you are BU and I'm being more U and is now sat there grooming his beard with his hand relishing in his youth.

I have fancied Alan Rickman since I was 15 and saw the video for In demand by Texas.
