to not understand premade pasta?

Pasta: flour, eggs, oil.

I know some people can't cook, but I'm shocked to think that anyone would be too lazy to knock up some quick tagliatelle.

Anyone noticed a bit of a theme today, so far we have people being offended by bread made in bread makers, curry sauce from a jar and now pre made pasta?!,
It must be a conspiracy :)

By the way I'm not offended by any of these things as I do not made bread, or pasta myself, I buy it from tesco :)

I am however very much against people who use washing machines and do not wash their clothes using a mangle..... Or is there already a thread about that today??

And water from the mains. How fucking lazy is that? Water butt + rain = H20.

Mishy1234 · 23/02/2012 11:43

I dug out our pasta machine from the garage last week (I think it's been in there 10 years!) and had a go at making tagliatelle with DS1. It was fun, but incredibly messy and time consuming. Don't think I'll be doing it again any time soon.

Dried pasta it is for us!

oh dearie me this is catching today a bit like a virus has swept through MUMSNET , Grin shocked that people buy anything from a shop at all tbh Wink

If you don't understand the concept of pasta, OP, find someone to explain it to you. ;)

tantrumsandballoons · 23/02/2012 12:07

Store bought pasta, boiling water+5 mins to cook= big glass of wine

tantrumsandballoons · 23/02/2012 12:08

......does that make it easier to understand?

ScramblyEgg · 24/02/2012 13:08

tantrums this was meant to be a piss-take after the shock-horror pancake mix thread (and before the bread & pasta ones) - wish I hadn't bothered now!

I dont cook. Chavs cook. I eat out at very expensive places for every single meal.
You mean to say that people actually use that weird dried stuff i heard they sell in superarkets ?

SauvignonBlanche · 24/02/2012 18:56
Grin With home ground flour of course, I don't understand this stuff in packets.
ilovebabytv · 24/02/2012 20:17

But how do you get the pasta dough to go into the nice squiqqly shapes?

DrCoconut · 24/02/2012 20:22

I really do make pasta! I got a machine for Christmas. But not all the time. We have a big bag of smartprice pasta for work day use.
