Pasta: flour, eggs, oil.

I know some people can't cook, but I'm shocked to think that anyone would be too lazy to knock up some quick tagliatelle.

She keeps the hens to lay the eggs, doesn't she? And wheat isn't THAT tricky to grow - it's a bit more of a challenge to mill it, obviously, but hey, if you have the time to make pasta, why not make the flour too?

droves · 21/02/2012 20:46

Tagliatelle ?

Make proper spinach and ricotta ravioli instead .

droves · 21/02/2012 20:47

Hang on , this is a piss take thread isn't it ?

< hangs head in shame >

ScramblyEgg · 21/02/2012 20:58

LOL. I'm in love, OP.

Annunziata · 21/02/2012 21:48

Why on earth would you make your pasta with oil?!!

radiohelen · 21/02/2012 21:53

What Annunziata said... one good egg to one etti of flour! No oil.

droves · 21/02/2012 22:06

Eggs , semolina flour, and salt . Some use a little oil as it makes the dough easier to work with.

More egg the better IMO .

CheesyWellingtons · 21/02/2012 22:12
Grin

though even I can make pancake mix

Pandygirl · 21/02/2012 22:14

Luckily we have a full plantation and dairy on the estate so a naice fresh cup of tea is whipped up easily in the morning.

OkayGrrl · 21/02/2012 23:04

I always wondered what pasta was made of Blush

LaurieFairyCake · 21/02/2012 23:07

People who make their own pasta have clearly not discovered wanking

MollyBroom · 21/02/2012 23:15

Two completely different things . Pasta is not hard to make but you need to be organised. The dough, to which I never add oil can be made in the processor in seconds but is then best left to rest for about an hour. This is no biggie if you have time, but probably not something you would do mid week.

On the other hand a pancake mix does not save time and it is not saving you from doing the most difficult part of the production process . For that reason I don't get pancake mix which has nothing to do with pasta.

I have time to make pasta and masturbate, for health and safety reasons I rarely do both together.

Bobyan · 21/02/2012 23:29
