and some other chains like Nandos are so bloody popular. What is all the fuss about? I am willing to listen to why IABU and change my mind so why do people love them so much?

I went in a Giraffe once, absolute bollocks.

Oh Otch glad all is well

I hear you about the asian food rip offs

I'm from Melbourne, I yearn for Victoria St Richmond and various Collingwood and Footscray places with their formica tables and BYO policy - and you spend more on the wine at the off-licence you bring in with you than you do on food for 6. Amazing.

Tayyabs is BRILLIANT. Lovely food.

coraltoes · 21/02/2012 21:24

Tayyabs is fantastic. Dry meat curry and tandoori lamb chops a fav in this house!

Giraffe is the work of the fucking devil. In fact any place where balloons and food are combined is off my list.

coraltoes · 21/02/2012 21:25

Sushi say in willesden and Akari islington for good local Japanese joints. Ie not central London!

MidnightinMoscow · 21/02/2012 21:28

Oh Tayyabs is amazing. Brings back lots of memories for me, as lived and worked in Whitechapel for 15 years.

Best Vietnamese was Hai-ha on Cambridge Heath Road.

helloclitty · 22/02/2012 06:59

Another vote for Tayyabs or Kulu Kulu, cheap good sushi in Soho.
