12th feb 2012 channel 29 E4+1 1pm

I mean......I just couldn't believe what I was hearing at 1pm in the afternoon...she was speaking to a parent and actually said to her " your'e bloody kidding me!" and " your'e bloody joking" !!!!

okay, if this was after 9pm at night it wouldn't matter too much....but it's 1pm in the afternoon and im watching this programme with my 6 year old !! who promptly turns to me and says "mummy that lady is swearing!!" Oh dear !! well im sorry Jo FROST , we know you are only human but you've just gone right down in my estimations......you spend all your time getting naughty children to contain themselves but you can't even do it yourself!! needless to say my complaint to ofcom has been registered.....AMIBU ???

suppose you're all right, if she'd have said " for fu#k# sake, get you're act together !" that would have been a different matter wouldn't it ? !

chattymouth · 12/02/2012 14:13

I say it all the time, its not something i would want my kids walking around saying all the time but its not a swear in our house

bubblepop · 12/02/2012 14:13

bloody awful programme anyway

OP posts:
historyrepeats · 12/02/2012 14:14

You would not like it in chez history. Grin

bubblepop · 12/02/2012 14:14

yes chatty, if my 6 yr old went around the house saying "bloody" all the time then I wouldn't be happy about it

OP posts:
QuietTiger · 12/02/2012 14:15

At least she didn't say "You're fucking kidding me". THAT would have been unasseptable. Grin

Sparklingbrook · 12/02/2012 14:15

bubblepop if you want to be proper offended get over to the Oreos Advert thread. Grin

RuleBritannia · 12/02/2012 14:16

It is not a swear word if used to describe something eg my cut head is bloody. It is a swear word otherwise eg the way the OP reported it.

I do agree with Where'smycaffeinedrip though.

snala · 12/02/2012 14:17

Hmm erm yes!!!! That would have been different.

mumatron · 12/02/2012 14:18

Wtf is going on here today? Have I stepped into a weird parallel universe where bloody is a swear word and 3 year olds lick biscuits in a suggestive manner?

I think I'll be taking a break until half term finishes.

Greenshadow · 12/02/2012 14:23

Of course Bloody is a swear word.

May not offend many people these days, but is still swearing and something I wouldn't want to hear from, or in the presence of, young children.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 12/02/2012 14:23

Ilovesprouts beat me to it... Grin

Sparklingbrook · 12/02/2012 14:27

mumatron would you like to come on an MN mini break with me? I have been thinking about it for a while and today may have just pushed me a bit closer to packing.....

historyrepeats · 12/02/2012 14:29

Now now ladies no flouncing please. Grin Bear with the trip trapping over half term, all will be well.

mumatron · 12/02/2012 14:30

sparkling count me in. This place is insane today.

Red2011 · 12/02/2012 14:39

If I had to deal with the little shits difficult children Jo Frost sees on a daily basis, I would be saying a lot more than bloody, that's for sure.

Wheresmycaffeinedrip · 12/02/2012 15:15

Unasseptable lol love it quiet tiger :o

insancerre · 12/02/2012 15:24

Won't somebody think of the chillldren?

Red2011 · 12/02/2012 15:28

Oh go and sit on the naughty step!

startail · 12/02/2012 15:37

YAB bloody A
To let a 6 yearold watch super nanny.
No young child needs to see how dreadfully the children in those programs behave.
They are too young to understand the complexities and will just think of it as a freak show.

saintmerryweather · 12/02/2012 16:56

Do you really have nothing better to do with your time than complain to ofcom about this?

valiumredhead · 12/02/2012 17:01

Funnily enough ds and I had a discussion about wether bloody was a swear word or not. In my day it most definitely was but now it is so much more common place I'm not so sure. He sad it was a bad word but not a swear word. I ended up suggesting he said it to his Head teacher and letting him decide Wink Ds decided not to so I think that answered his question!

DesperatelySeekingSedatives · 12/02/2012 18:13

Hahahahahahaha...oh you're bloody serious? Confused

Actually supernanny isn't something I'd watch with my DC- firstly it'll give them inspiration (probably) Grin and secondly I visably shudder when Jo says "this behaviour is unassepstable". Grrr.
