This one

This is no stealth boast - unless we win 100million we can't afford it - we live in a fairly normal 3 bed semi - its just property porn....

BUT I think my children are so beautiful that the current owners should GIVE me the house as some sort of right....

I'm pretty sure it has been on the market for a while. I'm sure you could shave at least 25k off the asking price (this offers over malarky doesn't really count in this market surely?). There, now that is much closer to your budget Grin

Miomio · 09/02/2012 10:48

Wow - I grew up near that house and never knew it existed!!

It is amazing...

Butkin · 09/02/2012 10:49

Wouldn't buy it even if they reduced the price - not enough land! 1.25 acres is nothing. We need at least 10 just to keep our ponies on.

chipmunksex · 09/02/2012 10:49

dd will freak when I show her this-she is a mad secret garden fan Grin

It is nice but I wouldn't want to live in a house where I would need a cleaner.

Bathsheba · 09/02/2012 10:53

I've uploaded pictures of the children to see if they are considered beautiful enough to live in that house...

OP posts:
Changebagsandgladrags · 09/02/2012 10:55

I don't like it.

Melpomene · 09/02/2012 10:58

As your dds are Brownie/Rainbow age I bet they would love the name of the house as well - 'Friendville' sounds like a name that a 7yo girl would make up.

Bathsheba · 09/02/2012 11:09

It does sound like a place mentioned in a Rainbow Magic book...

I am currently house hunting in Aberdeen at the moment, have no idea why thus hasn't popped up in my search criteria before now! It's exactly what I'm after Grin

SoupDragon · 09/02/2012 11:23

There are some dodgy decorating choices in there though.

Malificence · 09/02/2012 11:29

God that house is amazing
Yes, your children pass the beauty test Smile

I want this house - www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-26501902.html

or this one - www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-16974909.html

10 bedrooms is a tad excessive, given that there are just the two of us.

Ineedacleaneriamalazyslattern · 09/02/2012 11:41

Bathsheba can I have the 3 bedroomed cottage? I'm happy to slum it there Grin
I had been meaning to look up the particulars of that house but forgot.
It's like a different world yet in reality is just over a mile away from my front door. Envy

EmpireBiscuit · 09/02/2012 11:54

Tis vary like my weekend property... ahem

That's the one I fancy. It's walking distance to Aiden Byrnes pub/restaurant too.

Correctmeifiamwrong · 09/02/2012 11:55

Pretty.

4aminsomniac · 09/02/2012 12:17

Have you experienced Aberdeenshire ...? I would expect the garden frolicing (?) would be done in rain and high winds, wearing most of your wardrobe, even in summer!

Olbasoil · 09/02/2012 12:22

OOOh its got a drawing room.... does that mean its got a colouring in room as wellGrin

Melpomene · 09/02/2012 12:25

LOL at colouring in room.

Ponders · 09/02/2012 12:41

In 1772, George, the fourth Skene Laird of Rubislaw, granted a Charter disponing a parcel of land to Robert Balmanno

Scotland is so exotic Wink

IDoNotLIKEFun · 09/02/2012 12:44

YANBU - your children are gorgeous.

You should march up to the door, Arnie-style and demand, "your credit cards; your cars; your house keys. Geeve them to me!"

Yes.

theidsalright · 09/02/2012 12:47

emmm, its ABERDEEN.
Frolicking in the garden would involve thermals, wellies and a good petit bateau (of course) rain jacket. There would also be questionable amounts of sun.

Other than than YABU Grin

IDoNotLIKEFun · 09/02/2012 12:48

I quite fancy this because it is called Soddington Hall.

lesley33 · 09/02/2012 12:53

Can anybody find any mansions for about £300k please? Grin

MidnightWorry · 09/02/2012 12:54

i wouldnt say no if it was given to me but i wouldnt buy it.
Also its in scotland.

Beware of clubbing in together it could mean communal living and there for could lead to Communism! im joking of course.

really pretty from the front though! not enough land

MidnightWorry · 09/02/2012 12:58

Idonotlikefun- Now thats a good house. And its cheaper! I want that house.
