Oh dear, lovely and enthusiastic friend has invited us to go on holiday with them.

Really don't want to.

Advice on how to say thanks but no thanks?

Oh dear. Hopefully she will get over it. We went away with family last year and it has genuinely ruined the relationship. I still see them and remain civil for the benefit of family harmony but if I'm honest I loathe to be around them now and will only see them if I absolutely have too. My option of them is forever changed.

I love going away with friends. More the merrier although I am very laid-back.

See, I am a very laid-back person. Honestly, to the point of being horizontal.

Friend is a bit uptight (cries a lot) and my dd only has a certain amount of patience with her dd (creates a lot of drama around girl friendships at school). My dh doesn't particularly get on with hers, although finds it all nice enough for an evening out or a dinner party.

But to spend a week with them? - no!
