Here cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180803935705&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:GB:1123
Its the "very sexy" bit. They are for a FOUR year old. Who in their right minds describes underwear/sleepwear for a toddler as "Very Sexy"?

I looked at the other things too.All looked fairly normal but I still reported the listing for the use of the word "sexy". The seller should realise its completely wrong for a childrens' item.

It doesn't seem a bad thing to me Shirley that people on MN are vigilant and doing something towards stoping abuse...as long as nobody is hurt it is a positive thing.

ShirleyForAllSeasons · 26/01/2012 22:51

Oh BOM - I really respect you and ting, but I think you need to retract the report - the poor woman is clearly selling lots of stuff off and I really think that English is not her first language.

They sound a bit skint actually - She's bundling loads of stuff together and aw. Not a Pervo - Not a HATER, just a non great English speaker.

C'mon.

BandOMothers · 26/01/2012 22:52

Or at worst Amstillsey she's taking her first foray into dark listings.

ShirleyForAllSeasons · 26/01/2012 22:53

Oh and BOM - please don't think that I would ever condone abuse or anything - absolutely not, but surely we're big enough to realise when we're wrong?

amistillsexy · 26/01/2012 22:53

My first thought was none-english speaker or someone with a learning disability to be honest.
Or just maybe someone who just wasn't thinking when she wrote the listing!

BandOMothers · 26/01/2012 22:53

I wont retract it Shirley it wont do any harm if Ebay see no harm....poor or not! Who cares if she's poor!? I don't...I only care that she learn not to use that word on her listings. Do her a favour in the long run won't it?

amistillsexy · 26/01/2012 22:54

X-posted BOM.
If she is, I don't think she's showing great promise in her field!

squeakytoy · 26/01/2012 22:55

I dont think it is wrong to report it, even if it was listed, as I certainly think it was, in complete innocence and naivety. It will protect the seller from any creeps and weirdos too.

BandOMothers · 26/01/2012 22:55

Shirley I did say I COULD have been hasty...as the rest of her listings dont mention any used clothing...but I wont say I am wrong...I don't know that. As I just said...this could be her first try at Dark Listings. ( think I just coined that phrase)

hellymelly · 26/01/2012 22:55

oh.Maybe I should have just emailed her and told her to change it-I nearly did that but posted here first.

Good point squeaky.

BandOMothers · 26/01/2012 22:57

Ah well Helly! You set the ball a rollin'! When she comes on here berating us all..you can take the flak! Grin

ShirleyForAllSeasons · 26/01/2012 22:58

Dark Listings sound very Harry Potter.

That's a fair point that someone could give her a heads up on the possible weirdo bastards trawling ebay for...

Just wanted her not to be suddenly overwhelmed by ten thousand MNers calling her a filthy scrote when she's probably just used the wrong word in ignorance.

Jeez, what a world.

BandOMothers · 26/01/2012 23:00

Well not enough of us got on the bandwagon Shirley so I doubt she'll be hounded by flaming-torch brandishing Mnetters chanting "Scrote" Scrote! Filty Scrote!"

ShineYourButtonsWithBrasso · 26/01/2012 23:14

I reported it purely because "well worn/used" is a key word and if the seller is innocent she/he has the right to be informed that her "sexy and well worn items" could be key word searched by a pedo.

VickityBoo · 27/01/2012 08:39

Well I'd have used 'well worn' had it fit the description of my item! I shan't be anymore! Blush

TotallyImmersed · 27/01/2012 08:47

Where does it say sexy?

Thumbwitch · 27/01/2012 08:47

"sexy" has been removed from the item description.
I have no idea about the "code" but the seller cannot have English as their first language - just look at the listing for the jumper (the one that has the DD wearing a mask in it) - the structure of the language is all wrong.

In which case, the whole "code" thing might be a nonsense in this case.

BandOMothers · 27/01/2012 08:54

Oh good! No harm done then chaps! The seller will have learned a useful lesson too.
