Here cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180803935705&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:GB:1123
Its the "very sexy" bit. They are for a FOUR year old. Who in their right minds describes underwear/sleepwear for a toddler as "Very Sexy"?

So basically along the lines of buying used knickers. But for paedophiles.

SiamoNellaMerda · 26/01/2012 22:31

Sadly I fear you are right rita

amistillsexy · 26/01/2012 22:32

I thought the same as others when I clicked on the link, but looking at the seller's other items, I changed my mind. I think it's just naive and unfortunate choice of words. If she was into selling that sort of stuff, she'd have got more of it on there.

BandOMothers · 26/01/2012 22:34

I have reported. I want Ebay to let me know they have banned this person.

Fleurdebleurgh · 26/01/2012 22:35

Have any of you checked the feedback or other listings?

Youre all making a huge fuss about nothing. Jesus christ. PEEEEEDDDDOOOOOOOOO EMMMUUUUURGGGENNNCYYYYYY

BandOMothers · 26/01/2012 22:35

It appears to be a male amstillsexy and they have a picture of a child in one...wearing a mask. Why?

MissVerinder · 26/01/2012 22:36

I have reported it.

My friend sells her stinky shoes, and this is pretty much what she puts down.

fergoose · 26/01/2012 22:36

I agree - I think the seller doesn't realise. Her other items are worn and used but no other red flags.

i think, or maybe hope, it is stupidity rather than anything intentional

I agree about reporting or message to seller though

BandOMothers · 26/01/2012 22:37

Fleur what is it about the feedback that makes you think they are ok? Do you think weirdos dont ever leave feedback? Anyway better safe than sorry....and if it IS a naive person then they might learn a lesson! We dont' use the word "sexy" in relation to children...ever!

SiamoNellaMerda · 26/01/2012 22:37

Ebay will not let you now if or how they deal with the seller - if you want to know that save them to your favourites and keep an eye yourself.

MissVerinder · 26/01/2012 22:37

Well Fleur at worst someone will get a bit upset. At best? Well, I cannae predict the future.

SiamoNellaMerda · 26/01/2012 22:38

now = know. Obviously!

Justabouthadenough · 26/01/2012 22:38

Do the other listings sound normal to you amistillsexy? They don't quite ring true to me, especially the lady's clothes ones. Very odd listings IMO.

notfluffyatall · 26/01/2012 22:39

Hmm, I'm not sure what the issue is with Jigsaw it's self though. My daughter is 5, she wears little short skirts, I'd say similar to the ones on the Jigsaw site. She has shorts like that too that she wears with woolly tights, they're cute. There's one dress on the dresses page that i'd say was a no-no personally, the one with sequins all over but other than that they're all pretty standard girls dresses.

But that ebay listing looks dodgy as f**k, creepy!

troisgarcons · 26/01/2012 22:40

the listings would be private bidders if they were untoward.

I just love the net-police. NOT

If you had taken 20 mins out of your outraged lives you would have flicked through all previous buyers - nothing untoward at all.

""you"" don't happen to like the word "sexy" which is now (sadly) common usage.

hellymelly · 26/01/2012 22:40

I wasn't sure if I should report it or if I was over-reacting.So I'm glad I'm not alone in being bothered by it. I am looking for a jigsaw velvet party dress that my dd has outgrown but loves, and so I get an email from ebay with all the jigsaw junior stuff listed. I had no idea about the "well worn" thing-i just thought it was strange that it said well worn but great condition. I am going to report it too,so that they take it seriously.

Fleurdebleurgh · 26/01/2012 22:42

The seller is female (not that it matters), they have a huge amount of feedback for a huge range of items.

There is nothing strange about the wording on the ladys clothing?

I think they were probably written by someone with english as a second language but theres certainly nothing creepy/sinister there.

SiamoNellaMerda · 26/01/2012 22:42

The word 'sexy' has no place AT ALL in children's clothing listings. Or anywhere else around children's clothes. To think otherwise is wrong on so many levels.

squeakytoy · 26/01/2012 22:42

I think it is just completely unfortunate wording by the seller.. distracted whilst doing the listing possibly... all the other items seem quite normal and innoffensive and of similar type, with good feedback

ShirleyForAllSeasons · 26/01/2012 22:42

I've gt to be honest, I don't think this is dodgy - the seller has loads of stuff for sale, nothing else seems remotely dodgy, but her English is a bit "off"

notfluffyatall · 26/01/2012 22:44

"...nothing else seems remotely dodgy, but her English is a bit "off""

I just had a look through the other listings and feedback too. I agree, I don't think English is her first language. I think she's just made an innocent faux pas. Does look dodgy but probably innocent.

GrimblesMother · 26/01/2012 22:45

Overeaction I think.

It's an ill-judged turn of phrase, to be sure, but that's no crime and I see little else with sinister undertones unless one tries really, really hard to detect "code", and you could do that with any listing.

What about these shoes she's selling? They're described as "well used" but I don't suppose she's aiming the listing at paedophile foot-fetishists.

Her/his only crime is dressing her small child in ghastly pyjamas, I reckon.

BandOMothers · 26/01/2012 22:47

Having looked right through, I see that her English is poor...but I dont regret reporting as she should be shown that her description has NO place in a listing for childrens clothing.

ShirleyForAllSeasons · 26/01/2012 22:48

Fuck Me. MN never fails to make me do a Grimble! HAHA! oooo You wanker! hahahahaha!

amistillsexy · 26/01/2012 22:49

I'm feeling a bit self-concious about my MN name now....

I think the other listings show that this person is not very good at marketing (hence the 'jumper, stripy tights & leg warmers held on by pegs' ensemble), and the wording in all the listings is 'clunky', but no more 'code'.

The tights could be used in that way, but she is at pains to let us know that they are NOT very well-worn!

As for the child in the mask, it is strange, but if she thought it necessary to block out her child's face, then the mask is effective for that. Or the kid wanted to wear a mask!

I still think the use of the word 'sexy' is badly judged, but I would think innocent in this case.
