this model
Was looking for dresses on asos.com and clicked into the 'curve' section only to realise they start at size 20. I was aghast at how lovely and relatively healthy sized the model looked wearing clothes thatlooked like they fit, but supposedly are size 20.
I am size 16 and 5ft9.5 and look nowhere near as slim (shoulder blade envy).
So AIBU to think that either the model ( while clearly not a size 8) is not a size 20, or the whole thing haa been photoshopped to ridiculouslness?
Or option C might I actually look as slim (relatively) as the lovely model?

i wouldnt even say shes a 16 to be honest, id say a 12-14 from those pics.

Psammead, are you really a size 18? I'm only 5'4, 70kg and a size 14, sometimes 12 in jeans. Or maybe you need to shop in my shops?!

FabbyChic · 29/01/2012 18:33

I carry my weight like she does, evenly proportioned, but Im short with it.

She does look like she could be a size 18 easily.

KinkyDorito · 29/01/2012 18:43

I think she's definitely a size 20. That means that I must look bloody amazing at size 18. In denial

ScarletLadyOfTheNight01 · 29/01/2012 19:43

I'm 5'11" and a size 16 and no-one EVER believes me...I remember going shopping with MIL and she handed me a pair of size 10 jeans...I wouldn't have been able to get one leg in them. She could be that size, height really does make a difference. She doesn't "look" like a size 20 though, I'm just saying she could be as people always think I'm smaller than I am.

LeBOF · 29/01/2012 19:52

Her arms are definitely photoshopped.

shewhowines · 29/01/2012 19:56

It's the same with the TV ads for antiwrinkle cream using models at least 20 years younger than their target market. It wouldn't make me want to buy them. It just insults my intellegence.

intelligence !!!!
