fish and gravy just WRONG

Think thus is a Yorkshire thing - have you ever heard the saying "northern boys luv gravy"?? Dh is a Yorkshireman and always has gravy with bought fish and chips - when he first moved "down south" he couldn't believe that the local chippy didn't sell gravy in the same way as mushy peas.

The great sauce debate.

For a moment you reminded me of days gone past and sauce being passed around the chippy, that made me and then feel for days gone past and friends and friendships lost.

Think I might be a wee bit hormonal

Mushy peas are always U, as is that other devils food - peas pudding yeurch. If you can't have tartare sauce with your fish, salad cream is an acceptable substitute but never gravy.

I was once served lasagne with gravy (and salad!) in a pub. Needless to say, it was sent back.

Haggis and gravy is yum.

I realy cant get my head around fish and gravy i just dont get it haveing fish and chips for tea tonight im making it though its 7 quid almost in our chippy for fish n chips
