....Do-Badders about?

I spent most of my school years being called Mong for a really fucking witty reason (not).

I bore it well until one of my teachers started calling me it. I tipped a drink over his head when he happened to frequent a local watering hole. He tried to report me for assault. Our local PC who lived in my village and had known me since small said to him
You.Are.A.Dick

Happy days.

Whatmeworry · 23/01/2012 17:29

Am thinking "smuggers" is just the right word for those people who are just so sanctimoniously certain that They are Right that it makes your teeth hurt.

TheParanoidAndroid · 23/01/2012 17:46

maybe they just are right, at least sometimes.

Pagwatch · 23/01/2012 18:17

I rarely read 'I think x but frankly i couldn't be more wrong.

CervixWithASmile · 23/01/2012 19:02

Shirley, you win. I can't be bothered :)

Anniegetyourgun · 23/01/2012 20:17

I think I might have been the first one to use the term Professionally Unoffended, on that thread at least, thus giving rise, indirectly, to this excellent thread; so I'm feeling a wee bit smug. In a frothy way, of course.

Oh I see now - re the chinese slitty eyes. I only skimmed that thread but am astounded if anyone has said that making slitty eyes is somehow acceptable.

Mind you my level of general trust in my fellow MNer went down several notches on the 'my dd said a black lady's face looked like chocolate, chocolate is a nice thing so I am astounded that the black lady was offended' thread. Remarkable stupidity and casual racism on that thread.

seeker · 24/01/2012 12:06

And there are even mumsnetters who still like Ricky Gervaise!

OP posts:
Hullygully · 24/01/2012 12:21

Oh yes! the choccy face...that choccy is nice comment was dear Lazzer - so sadly missed.

I still like Ricky Gervaise in a weird not every bit of him obviously kind of way.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 24/01/2012 12:31

Who is Lazzer?

roundtable · 24/01/2012 12:42

Getorf, there's some shocking casual racism here

It managed to descend into having a whine about those job stealing immigrants taking over the country. Confused

Hullygully · 24/01/2012 12:44

larry grylls

Pagwatch · 24/01/2012 12:56

Wasn't it Larry who said
'paggy, you are not in hullys league'

Hullygully · 24/01/2012 12:57

Hoh yes

Only sense he ever spoke

TheVermiciousKnid · 24/01/2012 12:59

Pagwatch has a league?

Pagwatch · 24/01/2012 13:00

Hully has a league.

I am not in it.

TheVermiciousKnid · 24/01/2012 13:04

Damn, I've got it the wrong way round. Hully has got a league.

Why don't you just start a league, Pagwatch? Or is that not allowed?

Hullygully · 24/01/2012 13:05

My having a league was an insult, though. It wasn't meant in a good way.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 24/01/2012 13:07

Christ round the racism on that thread is far from casual.

I don't know what Fabby said but I can guess - and in general I am sick of her scattergunning offensive shit on the first page of every thread.

TheVermiciousKnid · 24/01/2012 13:07

Ah, I see.

Still, I would like to be in a league. :( It sounds classier than being in a quiche.

Hullygully · 24/01/2012 13:09

From the following posts I'm guessing she made a bad joke about Nigerian scammers.

Pagwatch · 24/01/2012 13:11

Lazzer was trying to be rude but in a strange way he couldn't quite conceal his admiration for Hully. He was being flirty offensive.

I could have a league. It does sound very classy. Or knid, you could start one and I could join.

TheVermiciousKnid · 24/01/2012 13:16

I'm too tired for any league-starting today. It does sound like it requires an awful lot of effort. I wonder if I could buy a ready-made league from Waitrose.

roundtable · 24/01/2012 13:34

It's very hard to engage with people who will not actually discuss anything and just fling accusations around.

I do wish the nasty comments were left to stand as it shows people for what they are.
