To keep ALL my DDs baby teeth?

Aw DD 6 has just had her first baby tooth come out. I have kept it ( in tissue and in an envelope) and now I am thinking, do I really want to keep them all as they fall out?
Isn't the first one the most memorable?
What do you do?

I've kept them all (2 boys) but have no idea what to do with them!

DressDownFriday · 16/01/2012 20:14

I keep them all in a little tin with a fairy on the top. God knows why. DD is 11 now and the teeth look so tiny.

IneedAbetterNicknameIn2012 · 16/01/2012 20:16

My Mum still has all my teeth. I have kept all DS1s that he has lost so far :)

Hulababy · 16/01/2012 20:17

DD is 9y and she keeps all her baby teeth. She always writes to the tooth fairy to ask if she can keep them. They are in a little silver tooth holder with a fairy on the top.

MudAndGlitter · 16/01/2012 20:20

It never occurred to me to keep them! Luckily none have been lost yet.

Blackpuddingbertha · 16/01/2012 20:24

If you have lots of DC you can do this with them!

Whilst looking for that link I also found this which I find slightly freaky...

LadyEatsCrispsALot · 16/01/2012 20:31

Urrgghh Black Pudding! I prefer the 'make it in to a bracelet' idea as opposed to a weird book of teeth! Urrggh!
Actually the bracelet idea is also a bit yuk.

DS keeps one, trades one for cash from the tooth fairy alternately. Thus he has a few pounds and a tin of pirate relics to gross out his friends....

WhereBeThatBlackbirdTo · 16/01/2012 21:38

I've got the full set of both DSs teeth, wrapped in kitchen towel with the date they fell out. Oh, how sad am I?! What an earth am I going to do with them? I can't just throw them away now - perhaps I'll just bequeath them to the boys and they can sort it out!

LordOfTheFlies · 16/01/2012 21:39

I've got the DCs teeth in a jar (mixed up so I don't know who's who).

DD took some in for show and tell.
And some of my wisdom teeth (not the one I put in Coca Cola to demonstrate the effects).

troisgarcons · 16/01/2012 21:43

All stuffed in a drawer - labled .... that's because I'm quite anal and read about Sarah Paynes mother having to give over teeth for DNA sampling ....... I know I know but I also have samples. locks of hair too.

I've kept the first ones of my older three. I have no idea why. I also have a lock of their hair from their first haircuts. They are now 18, 17 and 15. I suppose I will do the same when DD3 loses her first tooth, got the lock of hair already.

I'm pretty sure that my mum has the same for my 4 siblings and me too.

Balderdabble · 16/01/2012 21:49

My mum has mine in a jar next to her bed - I'm 28! Totally gross and a little bit disturbing!

LordOfTheFlies · 16/01/2012 21:49

I've still got the 2 positive pregnancy sticks that I peed on when I found out I was pg.

DD is 9.6 DS is 12 Grin

That's somehow worse.
And I don't think they'd want them in their Memory Boxes. Hmm

marriedinwhite · 16/01/2012 21:55

I found a little box in my bedside cabinet a few months ago, full of tiny teeth of various off/white shades, some with bits of brown on, some with bits of dried blood on, nestled into a folded tissue. No idea whether they belonged to ds or dd - utterly disgusting and have been thrown away. DS is 17 and DD 13. Why on earth did I ever think to keep them? Now their first shoes are another matter - they are still cute.

Moominsarescary · 16/01/2012 21:57

I've still got the positive pg test from ds1, he's 17

LadyEatsCrispsALot · 16/01/2012 21:58

Pg sticks! Wow! I am impressed! :)

My 12 yo DS lost one of his baby molars a couple of weeks back.
It was perfect .
I was so sad (when I had to find the mercanary little toad a £1 coin)

It just seems to take him ever closer to teenage.

DD has a load to come out, then she can get her brace that she longs for.
