To still put nearly 3.5 yr old to bed at 7 at weekends

Not a big deal really but just interested what the majority of you do. Dh and I work full time, dd in nursery 3.5 days with grandparents for 1.5 days. She has been a great sleeper from months old and is in bed sleeping for 7 each night sleeps til 7/7.30 and after a busy week at nursery/grandparents will still have the occasional nap after lunch at weekend.
I have friends whose kids get to have film night with parents at the weekend and get to stay up a bit later. I know my dd would love this as would we love the extea time with her I feel that this would leave her tired the next day though and don't want to spoil the usual weekend activities soft play, swimming etc. is later bedtime at weekends the norm and we are just being a bit pfb at 3.5.

cece my DS (4) was always a horrendous napper and dropped them really early. Pre dropping them, I used to really struggle to get him to nap. He would never nap in the cot, I used to pound the streets for hours trying to get him to nod off. As a consequence he always fell aslepp early. Sparko, out for the count. It made the days long but he slept well at night. Now, at 4, he still goes to bed early, will ask to go at 6.30pm some nights.

cece I found that they go to sleep easier when they go up earlier. I think we were missing the 'window' by putting them to bed later. Also they are both early risers no matter what. A late bedtime just makes them grumpy. So now dd1 (3.5) goes about 7 and dd2 (14 mo) goes about 6.30.

I put my DD 3.5 to bed at 7pm every night of the week. She's so tired. We try and be flexible sometimes and we are flexible but 99% of the time she's in bed by 7. We have to wake her in the mornings on weekdays as we need to be up by 7am for work and nursery but on weekends she sleeps to 8, sometimes later so she obviously still needs an early bedtime. I don't care what other parents do.

By the way, we still have a good social life - babysitters and hosting events at our house work well. It means DD can still sleep for 7 pm. We'll keep this bedtime for as long as she needs it.

DD3 goes to bed at around 7.15 (she's almost 3) most nights. Sometimes it's later if we're doing something, but she's usually fit to drop by 7ish on a school day.

She does think she's a teenager though and I have to wake her during term time for nursery school. Weekends and holidays she will wake at any time from 9.30 onwards. Handy and long may it continue!

What's wrong with wanting time to oneself anyway?
