Oh my goooooooooooooooodddddd.

I just did my first shred and my legs have died. They are a quivering wreck. And I didn't even do it 100%, I physically could not get my heels anywhere near the backs of my thighs for those hop things... Too much fat in the way :(

Please say you were like me on day one and by day 30 looked just like jillian. Please?

Apologies in advance if I am not here to reply straight away, dd is such an obstacle to mn :)

Haha no I wasn't eating chips, but I like to watch a few times before I do it so I know what I'm doing. My dp definitely did, funny as my family and his didnt believe him but I monitored his weight myself and it was just under a stone overnight, 2lbs a day since, pretty amazing but I don't think it's a eating habit you can keep up for life, so not sure the results will be that consistant.

Aw thanks lollipoppet if you keep at it you'll be surprised how quickly you'll get to level three! If I'm reallly sore, I take a day off to help my muscles recover- don't forget to do loads of stretches before and after!! I downloaded a couch to five k free app with lots of stretches which I find work really well. Good luck with today's shred and if you can barely walk take a day off and do some walking or swimming for one day instead! Wink

I'm too scared to take a day off Geraldine! I can't trust myself to go back to it if I stop. I am doing a lot more stretches now, just the fronts of my thighs that hurt the worst... But hey, no pain no gain. I hope jillian would be proud!

What is the Dukan diet like lovely? Might have to try it to lose a stone overnight! :)

After about a week I was a lot less stiff - it was my thighs too that were sore!!

Ive ordered this from Play and looking forward to it. Im too a size 16 and going to use tins of soup to do it.

DottyDot · 08/01/2012 22:34

I've shredded 3 times this week and swear there are bits going in that weren't there before..! Aiming for 3 times over the coming 7 days - trying to keep it realistic so that I don't give up Grin

I've ordered this after the rave reviews. I run but have wimpy arm muscles. I don't expect to lose loads of weight but will be interesting to see if it tones me up. Saw a bit of the video on utube and wonder if I'll cope with it as I'm very unco-ordinated and when I used to go to step classes had just got the hang of the step moves when they moved to something else.
Running is easy in comparison.

Its amazing how quickly your body adapts to excerise keep at it and it will get easier.

tigerlillyd02 · 08/01/2012 23:13

I nearly fainted (seriously!) when about 3/4 through this the first few times - probably breathing far too heavily or something. It then got much easier around day 4/5 and I managed to do level 1 all the way through. This was just before Christmas and I then stopped. I'm going to start again over the next few days. I bet it'll be like starting from scratch again but at least I know now it really does get easier quite quickly - and have no excuse to stop now! :)

Could someone link to the dvd please? I did a search on Amazon and it came up at £29.99. I'm hoping it was the wrong one. Really want to shift some weight and get fit.

uniqueatlast · 09/01/2012 00:18

Here, you can still get it for under a fiver from Amazon (incl delivery)
www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B002RNOS2Y/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&qid=1326068142&sr=8-1&condition=new

It was showing as £5 all last week so I got a shock when it suddenly jumped up to £29.99 too1 But when you click to see other sellers, you can get it for £4.99 and it's still eligable for free super saver delivery. I ordered mine tonight. :)

This is the ONLY exercise DVD I have stuck with. And over the years I've bought a lot!

Started in Oct, got to day 25 of doing it every day. Then stopped and went back to level 1 for various reasons, continued with 2/3 times a week until week before xmas (when the kids broke up). Didn't do it over xmas obv, and much harder to fit in with kids off school.

Went back to day 1 yesterday, getting up at 6.15 to do it before school run- I had thought as had "maintained" level 1 for a while would be ok having 3 weeks off- nope! I ached that much yesterday I was in bed for 8pm and thought I had flu, or maybe meningitis, I kid you not. I could not move my neck without pain and felt all shaky and hot and cold

Felt much better today and did day 2 whilst baby was napping. I must have blocked out how I felt last time- I remember cutting some cheese for one of the children's sandwich and feeling it in my stomach muscles! (that I didn't know I had).

I find the actual L1 exercises fairly easy as I'm doing them, it's just having the time and the motivation to fit them in! I did struggle with L3 though, not looking forward to revisting that. I'm currently using tins of tomatoes as weights, not doing proper press ups and I also suffer with knee probs, esp doing the twisty things in L2.
