.. about another 20 times in the next 48 mins so that I can answer, "oh, I am 38 years old"?

Countdown starts now. Another YEAR and 48 mins and I will be 40.

Happy birthday mmeL!

How about MmeMcGowans while in Scotland and MmeRitterSport in munchen?

Are you going back to the homeland or elsewhere?

Thanks, all.

Hmm, MmeMcGowans is not bad. Would the Sassenachs get it though?

It does have to be confectionery based, I think.

Yesterday I was a very young 38yo

GlaikitFizzEggNog · 02/01/2012 11:18

YANBU

That is all.

MinnieBar · 02/01/2012 15:59

My top tip, seeing as I am days older than you, is to start planning your 40th now if you want the type of birthday you actually like.

Happy Birthday!

MmeLindor. · 02/01/2012 22:04

MmeBierfest is not really me, Mary. They are not refined places, you know. Basically Magaluf in Lederhosen.

Minnie
The "night away in that fab B&B" has already evolved into, "hmm, if we are going to do this, we should do it in a smart car. Maybe we could hire a veteran car for the weekend".

What, you mean like that one we have in the garage, DH?

OP posts:
GlaikitFizzog · 02/01/2012 22:10

Oooh you could be MmeLiebfraumilch! Thats refined innit Wink:o

Hope you have had a lovely day! Birthday Thanks

GentleOtter · 02/01/2012 22:15

Hope you had a lovely 31st birthday, MmeLindor.

31st? How old were you yesterday? Wink

Oh, I can imagine an elegant Grace Kelly in the 60's style entrance in snazzy car and cat eye sunglasses. Hermes scarf de regeur.

MmeLindor. · 02/01/2012 22:26

LOL at MmeLiebfraumilch. My DH would faint.

Ha. GO. Hermes scarf, sadly not. I do have to admit that I draw the line at an item of clothing that costs such a silly amount of money - even if I could afford it, I don't think I would buy one.

My mum brought me a lovely Burberry knockoff from KL scarf that the whole "chav-Burberry" thing ruined. Was mega cheesed off about that.

MmeWalkers - shortbread???
Happy birthday again
Glad you have had a nice day

MinnieBar · 03/01/2012 07:50

Ooh no, not the vintage car and scarf combo - remember Isadora Duncan!!

(people of a younger vintage like Olivia may not be familiar with that sorry tale)

MmeLindor. · 03/01/2012 13:53

Will have to give careful consideration to the name change, MmeWalkers would be known worldwide of course.

Minnie
I always tie scarf tightly, even though I know that it was a really strange freak accident.

OP posts:
MinnieBar · 03/01/2012 14:13

MmeWalkers would make me think of crisps rather than shortbread.
Does it have to be sweet? MmeNeepsAndTatties?

LinzerTorte · 03/01/2012 14:18

Belated happy birthday, MmeLindor! One day nearer. Grin

No German I've met has ever heard of Liebfraumilch (although maybe I've just met the wrong type of German). I'm sure that one even insisted it would have to be called Liebfrauenmilch.

I was going to suggest MmeMilka, but have just remembered that Milka is Swiss too.

MmeLindor. · 03/01/2012 14:46

Thanks, Linzer.

Yy, German husband was bemused at Liebfraumilch. We had to endure a glass of warm Black Tower when we were at friend's house, early in our relationship. She was chuffed that she had found German wine.
