Here's the scene: town centre charity shop a few weeks ago.

I spy a notice board for sale and think oh that's bloody useful and just what i need to a craft project i'm planning. i pick it up.

Person I don't know.

Person: "oh, you've picked it up, oh never mind"
Me: " yup, too slooooooowww" Grin
Person: Angry
Me:

Then she stood behind me at the til while i bought it and we stood in silence.

Why, why, why must I speak, or go out in public.

I was supposed to give her the noticeboard wasn't I. I wasn't supposed to taunt her about it either. Ah fuck.

When dh and I were doing our prep classes at church to be married there was a point where you turned to all your near neighbours and shook their hands, saying "peace be with you". Except neither of us hear very well, especially with church accoustics, lots if voices etc. So every week without fail we were shaking hands and saying "pleased to meet you", over, and over again. Blush

We thought we were getting odd looks as we were the youngest by about 40 yrs, but then we saw a church service on tv recently and realised what we were doing wrong.

I am loving the fancy dress stories. I did once, as a student, ride my bike through the city wearing pyjamas, with a very large teddy bear riding pillion (not entirely randomly - I had been to a pyjama party). In my defence, it was very early in the morning and I figured most people out at that time would just think they had imagined it (or not care).

ninkynoker cringe __but lol--

I'm partially sighted and once jumped on a guy who I thought was my dad. Kinda like the Specsavers add only more real and a lOT more embarrassing! :) The guy I jumped on was terrified while my actual dad couldn't breathe for laughing!

Our family motto is "The quick and the dead, and the dead quick". I'd have probably had said that to her!

I am loving this thread!
