What time did you start and how many units - honestly - did you consume on the BIG DAY?

About 2 bottles of wine - would have had more but we ran out of gin!

Oh and a brandy coffee and a large brandy - in a just over 12 hour mid day to mid night period

Am breastfeeding a 9 month old so sort of timed my drinks around feed

You know, morning feeding, champagne (always have it with breakfast at christmas)

Lunch feed, more champagne.

Then a few hours later and a glass of wine with meal.

Then put baby to bed and another glass of champagne

hazchem, don't mean to single you out, but you said:

Doesn't champagne have the same number of units as white wine?

It's funny how different perspectives can be- I was just thinking how modest most people's consumption is. Mind you, I am coming from a background of if my DP drank less than 2 bottles, it was quite modest!!

I had a whole bottle of Cava and numerous Baillies. Started about 10.30 am, in bed by 10, but I ate loads too.

1/2 bottle bubbly, nearly 1/2 bottle of white (over twelve hours)

2 glasses of Bucks Fizz with breakfast, then the rest of the bottle of champagne and half a bottle of Cava throughout the day. Then a big glass of Baileys at bedtime.

1 glass of wine - breastfeeding and it wasn't very nice

2 modest glasses of champagne with lunch.
2 small glasses of port in the evening.

It was a very modest year on the alcohol front!

Nothing til lunch, then just under 2 bottles of prosecco between 1.30pm and midnight. It got late and it was either drink the last glass or go to bed. And I chose bed! Must be growing up

None today yet, got a 2.5 hour drive in a minute, but there will be cocktails waiting at the other end

Last time i had an alcoholic drink was in the Summer. One glass of pink champagne, before that New Years Eve, one Bacardi and diet Coke.

I love food more than i do alcohol.

Christmas Eve: one glass of wine with lunch, one glass of champagne with dinner. Christmas Day: one glass of champagne with lunch. Nothing since, but there are two bottles of prosecco in the fridge for tonight.

That's itf for me yesterday. Normally would drink more tbh but we didn't drink opening pressies this year and I felt too tired by the evening - full of cold.

However, have family visiting later this afternoon and I suspect we will drink more today. Plus not taking lots of cold meds today.

I had around 15mls of Midori mixed with appletise and had 2. I was on soft drinks the rest of the time. Am really exhausted today and alcohol on my meds can make me hyper. Dh had 4 cans and about 7 glassed of wine.

None, I dont drink. I can't be bothered.

I bottle of Bucks Fizz (3 units), 2 bottles of Cava (17 units) - from about 9.30am to 10.30pm. A really light year and feel better for it

None. I don't drink any more. Cheaper and a lot healthier.
Why pay out good money to feel ill?

For a whole day Fanjo - I can drink 2 bottles with dinner!?

3 cans of lager in the afternoon.

Started at 8pm, then had 2 glasses of white and 2 pina coladas, Christmas tradition here so felt obliged.

It is Christmas after all, a time to indulge , who's counting units?
After NY we all get back to normal (or at least I do)
